Question Janty Stick--Help Needed

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I got the first one last week, charged the battery and attached the atomizer.

When I push the button, the light turned blue but nothing happened. I tested the atomizer on an 801 and it worked fine.

So Parker (wihhis most excellent service) said it sounded as if it might have a short in it somewhere and sent off another to replace it.

...I can't make this one work, either.

Clearly this is user error, but I do not know what the error is.

Would someone help me, please?

TIA

Sounds like the atomizer isn't making contact. Did you over tighten it? Under tighten it? Is the connection clean? A short would cause the battery to get HOT, so it's more likely an open circuit.

I happens to me once in awhile and all I have had to do is unscrew/rescrew the atty.

Mine has an initial screw down "feel" that isn't quite all the way and I have to go about 1 more full turn to get it totally seated.

Remeber there is that little, clear rubber washer on the atty and you have to tighten it down onto that and compress it to get the contacts to meet.

Thanks, guys!

I was turning the atomizer until it stopped--but you can still turn it after that I was so afraid if breaking it, I wasn't getting it all the way on...

Parker is going to think I am a total fool. And he wouldn't be far off the mark

I am going to try on the first one, now (and the new one I ordered so I would have two.)

Thanks so much!

One more question, if y'all don't mind:

Do I need to take them apart at night, or is it okay to leave the atomizer in the stick?

KCR,

The only time I dismatle is when I need to charge the battery. It depend which one of the series you use.

I use both the Janty Dura-C version (or Twisp variation) with button, and the E-Cig Mini stick (white) from Quick Quit.

The E-Cig I discontinued to use as it gave a lot of atomizer problems, then you must unscrew it, blow from the battery side then from the other side as liquid flood it!

Sometimes the atomizers just whizz out and never come to life.

The Dura-C variation is so far the best, although I have a battery failure on my 1st buy.

As for the connection, the washer have air gaps for better activation of the atomizer, and these have to be open at all times, but there's no way that you can close this gaps even if tighten it very much.

At the end of each day I take the atty out of the stick, blow all of the liquid out from the mouthpiece end, onto a tissue, clean the threads, re-prime the atty bridge with 2-3 drops of liquid, then cap it with the mouthpiece (no cart).

The stick stays on the charger without the atty installed, to charge the battery over night.

Works well for me. I hope this helps.
