I cannot find a single post mentioning how inconsistent and temperamental this technology actually is.

The e-cig is a truly great idea but the technology isn't quite there yet for this to be a true alternative to cigarettes.

???? I've used these things -- cigs, cigars, pipes -- since last January and reported honestly that THEY ARE NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME. Trog is another veteran user who has said the same. Folks, we are guinea pigs. The devices are betas. No retailer wants the hassle of failed atomizers, dry carts, etc.

I have recommended exactly one device to my chain tobacco shop owner -- the Ruyan Vegas. Everything else will cause him too much hassle from upset customers returning crappy product pieces. This market is suited to the eBay underground serving it.

BUT .. acknowledge this 20aDay .. the e-smoking devices are the single best alternative to continued cigarette smoking. They are worth the learning curve, the fussing with them, the spilled liquid, stabbed fingers from syringes, occasional wimpy vapor, etc. And improvements are being made monthly. The next generation is set to come to market just before Christmas. This technology has the promise to be tomorrow's smoking method.

We are not a bunch of sellers. Enthusiasts? Yes. Early adoptors? Got that right. And many new e-smokers wear rose-colored glasses, or, as Trog says, are "happy bunnies." I'm not a happy bunny. I wear dark glasses. I want tomorrow's devices today.

Your first quote above is not true. But I think your second one is. If you read around more here, you'll find negative mixed with positive. Keep trying e-smoking and watch developments. This generation of devices is not the end of development; only the beginning.

I bought a super mini (DSE103) and thought "this thing is a piece of crap"!
After watching Dustins (Ratindahat?)videos I bought a penstyle. This thing is awesome, plenty of vapor and good battery life. Picked up a sampler from Johnsoncreek to top off with. I'm not selling anything.......

20 - you are definitely one of the most rude people I've seen around here. You posted a while back with issues and several of us replied to you with questions so that we could help you out. You never replied to any of those posts. You do nothing more than hit-and-run posts then whine when things don't work for you. If you have decided that these aren't for you then please, by all means, return your products, get a refund and go back to your analogs while refraining from posting here in, what I can only assume, is an attempt to undermine all of us who have had success with this product. Perhaps there's a little green tinge of jealousy because you aren't quite bright enough to figure these out or to ask for and accept help when you need it? Don't come in here bashing those of us who are very happy with these products despite their flaws and accusing us of dishonesty. From what I have seen just about every person who frequents this board is totally honest about their experiences with e-cigs. We all openly discuss our concerns, frustrations, etc. with one another here in an effort to get a better product. No one has represented these devices on this site as being perfect and without flaws so your statement that you have found no comments on the inconsistencies of them on this forum are either a lie (in which case you are the dishonest one) or proof that you have not read through the forum even a little because the complaints are hard to miss (in which case you are simply lazy and these are definitely not for you). Regardless of the situation, while we welcome your complaints, concerns, suggestions, comments and experience, I think I speak for everyone on this forum in saying that we do not welcome your accusatory attitude or your disgusting rudeness. Have a nice day and I do hope that whatever bug is up your rear removes itself soon so that you are more able to enjoy life.

I can't say anything more about that part.

The point of this topic is a rant. A short fuse individual who refuses to learn is as common as a fanboy. Feeding his flame request only inspires him to rant more.

Simply offering to help and having him accept the help should have been the end of this topic. As e-cigs reach the masses more and more ranters and fanboys will frequent the forums. Some will come here only to discredit the product because they have a motive. Others will come to become part of the revolution that is coming.

tell u one thing guys.. having just read a new-ish supplier telling a newbie he/she can expect a fully charged battery to last one or two days i have to agree with the thread starter..

pure bullsh-t.. plain and simple.. seller spam.. u carry the prominent link to your site at the bottom of each post..

u be a nice guy.. spend time in the newbie forum.. welcome them all to the happy bunny club.. make as many (seemingly helpful) posts as u can and make the product u sell out to be better than it is..

and as long as the bunnies rip the throat out of any poor sod that dares to suggest this is going on the practice will increase..

i have just witnessed an instance of it.. clever spam and more clever spam..

call it a reward for doling out advice and e smoking information to newbies.. but at least it should be valid information.. not pure sales hype to encourage newbies into e smoking..

now i know that telling a potential initiate that a fully charged battery should last one or two days is a crock of sh-t but it shouldnt be my bloody place to say so...
