**I use a 510 atty **I use a 510 battery but ordered a Protege **I clean my atty when it is hard to draw even after blowing it out. **I vape sweeter flavors like cotton candy, cola, Dr. Pepper, and grape. I also vape Kent. **I soak it for 15 minutes in Crest Mouthwash then blow it out. **I leave my atty to dry overnight. **My clean atty performs much better. **I have been vaping for 1.5 months on the same 2 attys. (Signature says less time but that is the date of my last analog ever.) |

Very cool! I see a pattern here just a bit... I am not brave enough to try the boil method yet but I don't have a 510- I made this thread as part of the reason being... I believe some atty's may be able to withstand a few methods that other atty's may not do so well with... I appreciate the info that is coming in here- I hope to be able to see a definite pattern of use and method and post for everyone the best method for their specific atty- whether it be no cleaning needed at all, to boiling, to Crest, to club soda, and any other methods that may come up as reported... Thx again for responding... |

The 901 battery and atty I bought in August from E Smokey treats is still working. The battery is losing power so I bought replacements from E Liquid Planet. I have not cleaned my atty but will do so now except I am afraid I will kill a weakened atty. It may be going out anyway because the taste of it is slightly burnt and it gets very hot. I question if should use the old one until completely dead or save them for back up. I bought 801 Parts from RMV two months ago too. The battery is still perfect but the atty died of sudden death. I never cleaned it ever. The only time I cleaned my atty is when some foul liquid killed my very first and second 901. They were a month old and cleaning the atty didn't revive them. I just threw away bad juice. So to me cleaning doesn't help and I am a constant vaporer when I sit here at the pc and the pvs have lasted more than two months. |

well for what it`s worth: i use 901/801 atomizers on a SD, a 5vdc PT, and manual and auto batts. i use 510 on the mega manual and oem manual batt. i drip 2-4 drops mostly with 1-2 drops into carts, and drip often to be just below the gurgle sound. for the last three months i have blown out a couple of attys but mostly just run them freshly dripped, and i do wash out the cart filler with hot soappy water and rinse well. i did burn up 1 801 atty and 2 901 attys since june and started in jan, with dse201 and dse103. got real in may with 901s and 801s then got fancy with a SD. i have my tattoo machine`s ultrasonic cleaner that i put 2 attys in yesterday after JimDavis`s post about fred, the oldest known 901 atty, commiting sucicide by falling of a table...and they air drying after canair blowing and they look very clean inside, but have try them yet. i made a adapter that works on the 901PT with 801 attys and i belive it is what keeps the atomizers i use work for along time by 'kina`s self cleaning oven discussion` from several months back, the 510 runs so hot that with me dripping often keeps it good... oh, what was the question?

LOL Thx guys! Boxhead, I am glad you posted, I also would like to see what differences there are in trend w/ HV's versus the actual standard e-cigs on atty's... What would the tattoo cleaner be made of? That is interesting and would like to check it out- I can get tattoo anything here so that could be an option also... Have you noticed a trend as to which atty's seem to work best on HV's, tastewise, vapewise, etc and then timewise on life? Would love to hear more... Greenie good to hear from you too- a constant vaper's take on things is great! thx for the heads up- Would you have tried harder if it weren't time consuming to revive them or either way it's just easier to get a new one?? When mine have gotten to where I think they may be dying completely... those are the ones I have set aside to "clean"- I am waiting for a bit more feedback but will be trying 2 methods, one I read about on the boards here- I don't know how to link posts into posts yet but one is the Crest Mouthwash post and the other is Club Soda which I think someone else may have mentioned but I already bought to try after getting enough info and bravery to do it... LOL (I thought of Club Soda when someone mentioned the Coke method...) Club Soda cleans everything- LOL I would go baking soda maybe but am not certain of the bicarbonate properties and drying on the atty to then vape... Will stick with what I know... **Sattec, I didn't ask before- What kind of puppies?? how did the birth go? I hope they are all well- Are you going to post pics? LOL |

| I just stode 'em up with the batt end up and kept it at a low boil, it really seemed to clean up the mesh...make sure the water covers the atty with about a quarter inch of water
