Default loud music killing batteries?

ok, just caught something in another thread about loud music or loud noise will set off the auto switches on m401/evo cigs? that or constant air blowing over the holes on the atomizers?

that seems a bit...counterproductive...if i'm taking my ecig in a bar or club with music, if the music is just going to keep activating the cig.

any input anyone?

The pressure switch will not move unless that vibration was-way-way-way up, but I guess it is plausable. As for air blowing, being outside with the wind blowing, that will for sure fire off the battery pressure switch blowing thought the LED side. Cup the led in your hand and you should have no issues with the wind--Sun

sun...you're always on top of posts! haha.

so, then, sitting in a typical, loud bar shouldn't affect it much then...most likely? it would make sense being in a loud concert filled with heart pounding bass, so i guess that was more the question...if it was noise volume, or bass depth and vibration.

i guess i'll just find out! i'm figuing my Pilot Hybrid will show up tomorrow or friday, so i'll have the weekend to try it out

i'm crossing my fingers my atomizers don't burn up in like one day. hah!

Sorry, I have to disagree. I bought 2 puresmoker m401 sets to take on vacation with me (4 batteries total). The resort had a "disco" for nightlife, mostly dance type music with a fairly crappy sound system. I'll try to describe the noise level... it was loud, but you could still hear someone talking next to you. Not someone talking a couple seats away. Bass was thumpy, but not "shake your lungs" thumpy.

It thought the damn things were busted. I couldn't get a drag off them... so I changed to the second set of batteries (total 4). Nope, a puff here and there, then nothing.

Then I noticed a couple blue lights on the batteries I wasn't using. I watched all four for a while. They'd turn on, and on, and on, and all of them eventually went into the "2 minute timeout" mode. Without the atomizer attached, sitting in the box. So there ya go. If you take 'em dancing, leave the atomizers OFF so they don't burn out, go outside, and wait a bit to have a smoke. That's where the rest of the smokers are anyway, LOL

P.S. I'm not sure if I was clear about this - they batteries turning on by themselves didn't go dead or anything, as long as they aren't attached to atomizers at the time.
And everything DID work just fine once you go outside.

Entirely possible sitting somewhere a bit out of the direct path of the sound might be fine too.

And it was definitely vibration, since there was no air flow whatsoever with the batteries sitting in the little carry case.

RJG--Sorry you ran into that--pressure switch must be ultra sensitive in the 401, I can not even replicate it with the 901/RN4071/or the DSE 801 or the Jazz Disposable--but I can see it happening as the switch is just a wheel conection that does not need that much to fire. A manual like Janty makes is the key Model for the Disco then--Maybe Janty should advertise that LOL---Thanks for the Report--Sun

LOL, yes, I was extremely surprised to see that as well.

I still had my trusty e-cigar though. It worked just fine.
The big red light kept attracting the security to throw me out ! Blue lights are so much better in non-smoking places :-)

the 401 doesnt use a convential pressure switch. It has a Electronic MIC as the switch. It is a microphone, hence the batteries draining in a night club!!

From personal experience I can add thoroughly DO NOT have your e-cig in your pocket while drumming LOL!!
I run a Alesis DM-5 studio kit with a 300W P.A. set up and the other day felt like a bit of a bash at the skins... forgot I had my 901 in my pants pocket ... about 20 mins in I thought "crikey my thighs a bit warm???" turns out the atomiser was diligently trying to escape by burning my pants !!!

I always knew I was "hot" on the skins but this confirmed it
