I have a new Janty manual eGo. It has a cutoff (light flashes and power stops) after holding the button for about 7 seconds. I didnt think a manual would act like this and i'm concerned there is something wrong.

My Janty manual eGo has no cut off what so ever.
Did you get it from a Janty supplier?

Actually, Janty eGo's do have a cut off (about 20 seconds), where the LED will turn off momentarily and the atomiser will stop working until you press the button again. The eGo does not however, have any cut off time between being deactivated and reactivated, like an auto batt does, so pressing the switch again will activate the switch right away and most users will not even notice the cut off when it occurs.
In any case the eGo manual batt is not supposed to have a cut off of 7 seconds, nor flash a few times when it does cut off, either. So, I'd send that back and get another if you can.
It puts the potion in its grin or else it has to smoke again!
I was guessing 7 second.. I now count 12 seconds and my vendor emailed me and said it does have a 10 second cutoff.
so all is well i suppose.

They changed that recently, my older batteries had the long cut-off, the newer ones the 10-seconds-cut-off, and they are all Janty.
