i just started having this same problem, lights up normally w/o carto's, but blinking when carto attached. i also tried raising post to no avail![]()

What OHM carto? If the OHMs are too low, they may blink like that. And not necessarily the OHMS you bought, often the OHMs will drop with use.
A multimeter is a vapers best friend! And having one will sort all these problems out, easily, or just keep swapping parts until you find the bad part- unfortunately, a bad carto/atty will kill every battery it touches.

I am using the equipment that came with the kits. ego-c sr attys on the 3.7v 1100mah ego-c battery, and the ce3 clearomizer (??) for the ego-w f1 type on 3.7v 1100mah lcd display batteries. I believe its called a ce3. Also called eliq cart by some vendors I think.
Ditto X10 !!!! Without a multimeter, you don't know where you are. I've had 3.2 ohm attys drop to .3 ohm in a heartbeat which will cause your exact symptoms. As an aside, I resurrected 2 of 'em tonight by carefully burning off the short by pulsing a higher voltage until it was gone. All back to normal. Anyway, a shorted atty will definitely give you that kind of indication and will pop many, many circuit boards on the battery in a flash.

Great, a multimeter. Dont have one, wouldnt know where to find one, or how to use one. Dont even know what it is. Nor do I want to spend money on one because I have no idea what its for or what it does.
The battery post is the issue from what I can tell. Prying it up does not help. Again, is there something I can put between the plate on top of the battery post and the atomizer plate to help it make better contact?
I understand in some cases is may be a bad atty, in this case its not. Ive tried brand new pieces repeatedly and the same result with the battery and the chances of them all being bad are slkm to none.
I don't think it'd be safe to put something between there. How about lifting the posts up in your attys? You put a pin in each of the holes and wedge the post up/out. With both posts on attys and batt extended, there should be a good gap when connected.

Drop in to one of your local Harborfreights. They are all of $3.99. You don't need anything fancier than that. You will quickly learn how to use it to measure voltage, and most importantly in this case, the resistance of your atty.
Circuit Board Spacer
And don't be such a wuss, get a cheap meter.

Try searching...
The spacers will likely do the trick thanks. The wuss comment wasnt necessary.
