Hi All,

I don't know if I'm just old fashioned or stubborn, but after trying the Clear tanks, the regular single and dual coil Echo cartomizers are far more reliable and longer lasting. Am I doing something wrong?

I'll take clearos any day over cartos. My best example is vaping VR's Cinnamon Roll using both types. When I used the carto my first thought was that was little to no taste so why spend money on this particular brand. Then I received my first iTurbo and filled it with the same flavor. Then I said to myself. "Oh so that's what it's supposed to taste like.". The difference is very pronounced in favor of the clearos.

Lulu, thanks for mentioning the iTurbo - have you tried the Vision clearo that was mentioned earlier? What can you recommend about the iTurbo?

They are the same thing.

I agree they are the same principal but not necessarily the genuine article. The authenticity rests with the vendor. I prefer the plain vanilla clearos as opposed to the colored ones, especially with all that wicking hanging around. They are supposed to be version 2 but I prefer to let someone else test the new ideas.

Which ones do you consider authentic? Vision made the first ones I believe. I do think there are lots of different companies making them now. I think you need to ask the supplier who makes them when you order them if you want to be sure. All that being said they have all worked the same for me.

However I noticed hangsen had the 2.5ohm with whistletips and a few days later Smotek had them. I assumed he got them there (or they were the same ones hangsen was offering). I have liked those the best but haven't ordered new ones since. They all change, copy and adapt so quickly I could be giving outdated info. LOL!

But it's true. My echomizers are used for travel and less and less so because the clearos are getting more reliable.

Has anyone tried the pheonix 808s yet?

I do like the ones from smoktek too but mostly because of the flat tip. I haven't tried the 808 phoenix mostly because they don't hold enough juice and they wouldn't look very good on an Echo without a cone. I don't think they have the 3ml version in a 808 but they might and would look better than the skinny 1.5.

Can anybody tell me what comes with the echo 1300 auto kit from cropduster? Maybe I'm just overlooking the desricption but the website is vague about what comes in the kit. I'm assuming its the standard two battery kit but as we all know when you assume in the vaping world, you often get burned....

iTurbo type clearos:
For anyone who does dry burns with the little opaque plastic cover removed by force I just pulled the little metal disk that goes through the plastic top all the way through the plastic and out the top of the clearo. That's one clearo down and I'll never do it again. I did notice that the disk part of the metal seems smaller than the others have and the plastic top is a little more flimsy than before. YMMV
