Default Great Service

Just to say what a great service I received from TECC. Having ordered a starter kit and cartridges they turned up in less than 24 hours, and the lady on the phone was very helpful, answering my questions and taking my order.

Many Thanks,

Brewster

I've had some problems with them. An atomiser missing from a shipment (which they did send after I complained, but it's never a pleasant situation to have to explain to a seller that they've left something out of a shipment), and today some liquid I ordered from Totally Wicked (same people as TECC) was replaced with a different strength because the strength I had bought wasn't available after all (i mean, huh?)

In addition I have to say that advertising the 510 as "probably the best electronic cigarette available anywhere in the world!" is a little too dishonest. After I bought it I had three atomisers break down in the first ten days. (I had the first one replaced but when the second and third one died so quickly and I had just complained about the one missing from another shipment I figured enough is enough and I'll just live with it and order some more.) Also I get cartridges not fitting into some of the atomisers without applying a LOT of force (just lack of quality control, I guess), and the batteries wear down fairly quickly. The replacement battery I got today is faulty - the switch is so sensitive the air flow caused by the atomiser working is often enough to keep the battery going, meaning that quite often the only way to stop the cigarette after taking a puff is to disconnect the battery (and if you don't pay attention you'll burn your fingers on the atomiser cause it gets so hot).

This on top of the fact that TECC are not an especially cheap supplier, nor can I say I care much for their shipping charges (the price of P&P should reflect the actual cost of P&P, misusing it to raise the sales price of individual items doesn't inspire a whole lot of trust).

So now I need to figure out what to do about all this. I've heard a lot of good things about TECC and TW but experienced sort of the opposite. I might make a trip down the post office to send some of all this stuff back, but it's so annoying to have to do that, and God knows how many more trips before I'm finally happy that I've got what I paid for. Or I might just move on and accept that I should have been a little more careful in choosing where to buy my e-cigarette, "so tough luck".

Yeah, so anway, happy that you had a nice experience with TECC, but my conscience wouldn't allow me to let a recommendation like that go unchallenged. :P

Tarzan...I'm really surprised at you experience with TECC. I've been buying lots of hardware, carts and Wicked Liquid from them since August last year and i've always had great service from them. The only time i had a problem was when i got a bottle of Wicked which was missing the Dropper but they had only just changed the Packaging and Labeling.
Jason had me one sent out in 24 hours. I personally don't mind the postal charges when i can order on a Monday morning and 99% of the time it's delivered to me Next day by First Class Registered Mail. The longest i've had to wait has been Two days. I really don't mind paying for that type of Service for the peace of mind knowing that i'm not going to run out of Liquid, Carts, Atomisers etc.
I'm just worried that he might drop TECC and concentrate on Wicked.
My experience has been First Class Service from a First Class Supplier and Pioneer who has set the Standard by actually paying a lot of money to have his Liquid analysed and tested and Labeled correctly and is willing to Stand up and be Counted.
The only thing that i can think of for your bad experience is that all suppliers are rushed off their feet at the moment and having big problems with Supply and Demand as well as having to rely on overseas manufacturers who are having problems themselves.

Well I'm being careful not to be too harsh. I feel a little disappointed compared to, well I guess the "hype", but they're not awful compared to the average internet supplier. And if instead of comparing the 510 to TECC's sales pitch I compare it to the real cigarettes I used to smoke, I'm extremely pleased with it.

The problem with shipping isn't that I mind paying for delivery. First class signed for is about £2, but TECC charge that per item, not per shipment. What they're saying is that shipping ten batteries costs them ten times as much as shipping one battery, which simply isn't true. It's a free market so they can charge as much as they want for the battery, or for the handling, but when the actual price of a battery is £12, it's a bit dodgy to advertise it as £10. Yes, I'm way too touchy about things like that. I also refuse to touch Nectar cards and similar BS. Need help.

Anyway iVapour sell Dura batteries at £7.50 and their shipping fee is an actual shipping fee. Will be interesting to see how long the stocks last.

I'm with Tarzan on this one and also not wanting to be one that knocks a supplier too quickly, however, my story is as follows:

1. ordered the starter kit for the 510, both Atomisers of the old type and not working properly, had to send back them back before replacement (which I guess is fair enough) but straight back to analogues :-(

2. 2 x Atomiser returned, one worked well the other doesnt work properly.

3. Ordered some additional carts and thought I would get an atomiser as well (as they do not seem the most reliable of components), this atomiser also didnt work properly (the carts had to be really pushed in and no throat hit even though there was some vapour.

Summary out of 5 Atomisers, only 1 worked.

Alaso only seem to be getting about 4 cigarettes worth out of the carts which to me seems very poor! and the battery life has deteriorated over the 10 days that I have had my one working atomiser to the point where 3 hours is good 2 hours is more likely.

I have sent an email to them covering my problems but have yet to receive a reply (ok its only been just about a couple of days to be fair)

This was my 1st venture into e smoking and when it works it works well but if this is supposed to be the best e cig on the market I am worried as the reliability, cart capacity and battery life does seem to be rather suspect. Perhaps this is TECCS supplier having poor quality control!

With regard to the postage, if they send out in one package they should charge one lot of posting. My other concern is that given the reliability it is going to cost me a fortune (and them for the return parts) in posting.

All I want is a reliable e cig that gives a decent throat hit and if that is something different to the 510 then hopefully someone will tell me.

Yes. I've used the 510 for a while now, and when it works, it does work well. In the end I think the problem is definitely poor build quality or lack of quality control rather than design flaws.

Hi Guys,

Regarding the postage and packaging charges, we have taken into account all your views and have started to make changes; for upto 10 atomizers or 10 batteries we will only charge £1.95 for p&p. We are in further discussions to make the website and p&p charges more user friendly and cost effective!

I do apologies for the problems you have had regarding the atomizers, you were very unlucky, but we will replace these when they are in their 28days guarantee.

Regarding quality control, we are in further discussions with manufacturers to improve this.

Kind regards,

Kat

Hi. I've cooled down a little bit now. I know I get worked up, sorry. You should hear me rant about Ryanair's £8 transaction fee whatever bloody payment method you choose. How is that ever a "transaction fee"? Gah!

Anyway for what it's worth I'm still a returning customer. I hope the build quality is sorted out soon, because a few of my mates bought different e-cigs and having tried those now, I have to agree that the 510 really stands out.

Default 510 starter kit

I am interested in ordering the Black 510 starter kit. Is the 49.99 UK the same as 49.99 USA? How long will it take this kit to arrive? And what else do I need to order to keep from having to make a 2nd order immediately? Thanks

Hi Randy C!

Thank-You for showing your interest in the Titan, it is one of the best on the market! If you ordered the kit online the price will automatically change to US dollars when you are proccessing the order; as the price will be different from sterling to dollars. The delivery time to the USA is within 7-10 days, you will receive a track and trace number to follow your parcel on its journey.

I would reccomend you to order some extra cartridges with the tobacco or menthol flavour you prefer or perhaps the e-liquid which is an alternative to pre-filled cartridges.

Kind regards,
Kat
