Well I’ve just ordered the npg sample pack. I’m not looking forward to all them fruity flavours lol, but I do want to try the npg. Sometimes I get a bit of a tight cough with the pg.

I got both the PG and the NPG samplers. I didn't mind most of them, but the fruit ones, especially the peach cobbler, turned a bit sour for me. The tennessee cured is the least bad tasting e-liquid I have tried, and I too quite liked the vanilla one, though less so. I couldn't taste much difference apart from the back of my throat burning between PG and non-PG. I've said before I'm sort of locked into Johnson's Creek, being the only glycerine-based eliquid supplier.
What cash is going to start selling 115 mg juice? I think I will stay the heck away from that!
Anyhow scientifically what you are saying makes sense, BUT there is no way the JC 24 mg even hits close to Cash's 36 mg. I have no idea what is going on. To make it more perplexing the JC does not even seem to have the nicotine kick of LiteCig USA 16mg stuff. I have no idea why, just seems that way. But it does last alot less puffs than Cash's liquid, whether due to being thinner or what I don't know.
Have to have a go at the Tenessee Cured one next!

There are another couple of threads about Johnson Creek juice here -

Johnson Creek Smoke Juice: New & Improved - Comment, anyone?

British bulldog from smokester

A few days ago I got a propylene glycol 18mg sample pack to try out. My immediate thoughts are that there are some nice flavours. I've read that JC juice is thought to be smooth but I feel a harshness with it. It's not a strong harshness, I don't like that but it's enough to let you know you're getting vapour, I expected it to have no hit at all. The flavours are not strong and I like that too, I can vape for a long time without the taste becoming overpowering. Vanilla ice cream, wild cherry, peach cobbler and mint chocolate madness are particularly nice.

The consistency is a bit runny, I drip mostly and have been having to do that more than usual.

I will probably be buying JC juice again.

Perhaps they have another measurement system to convert analog cig puff sizes to e-cig puffs. Or perhaps they have safe margins in case they mess up something again.

Sorry if I sound furious but these guys latest " 'mystery' e-liquid from overseas" stunt is unbelievable. These guys have a track record of having more problems with their liquid than all other e-liquid makers together yet they go badmouthing others. No lab tests, ingredients lists, nothing.

Kate,JC has always been a smooth eliquid...but i think a lot of people are now trying JC after totally wicked, and making comparisons...that might explain some of the recent complaints of JCs smoothness, because TW is particularly harsh-especially in the highest nicotine levels...
so people who are used to TW and like the throat hit it gives wont be satisfied with JCs comparatively smooth vapour...

and i dont know if this is correct, but it seems like more flavouring might be being added to the high level stuff...maybe,maybe not...
in any case, ive heard quite a few times how people who have tried low and high levels of the same liquid almost invariably say they not only get more throat hit,but also get more flavour from the 36mg juice...

whether this is because of individual perception,or the mixture reacting differently with high nicotine to somehow produce more taste,or there are more of existing or extra added ingredients in high nic batches in comparison to lower nic ones...its hard to say...anyway,something seems to be going on between high and low nic eliquid regarding throat AND flavour...

as for JC,well,i found the old JC to be very smooth, but because it blocked my atomisers very quickly,i didnt get a chance to get used to it...Kate youre probably already used to lots of smoothness because you DIY and dilute eliquid with glycerine a lot...so i guess its right up your street...

i dont know if theyve ramped up the throat in the new improved atomiser friendly standard version,as ive only tried British Bulldog in the new batch...but BB has a powerful throat hit-i find it as harsh as the TW ive tried...i doubt the standard JC has the same punchy throat hit...

Thanks for that Darcy, very interesting. I really have been wondering about the difference in harshness with different nicotine levels of the same flavour. I've read some people say that zero nic is no different to high nic and others say it's different, high nic gives more harshness. As you say, another factor is stronger flavour and whether there are different additives with different nic levels.

It could take a lot of experimentation to get to the bottom of this ... or maybe another poll, lol.

the only same flavour i have tried in different strengths in TW french pipe. 1 was 36mg and the other 18mg.

I can honestly say that the 36mg most certainly had a stronger flavour.

The thing with JC is the latest batch was supposed to improve the throat hit feeling compared to the older stuff. but i can't tell any difference in that department.

a poll might be interesting Kate...we could at least get some information in one place instead of scattered around the forum...

theres definitely seems to be something going on between varying nic strengths and their throat and flavour...a lot of people dont seem to think it has anything to do with the actual nic content...but of course we dont have a clue really...we need suppliers and manufacturers to comment...

i wish we could get to the bottom of it...and i wish we could have lower strength juice with throat and flavour comparable to 36mg...it would make it much easier for a lot of people to reduce their nic intake...

i know TW are bringing out a zero and 8mg strength soon...i wonder what itll be like in comparison to higher mg liquids in the range...anyway,i guess we need to keep the pressure on suppliers to deliver what we want...and IMO,i think theres an increasing demand for very good lower nic juice, with better throat and improved flavour....

What Darcy said about harshness makes sense Apo, if you've become used to Wicked then smoother stuff might seem very smooth. I've found that applies to me, when I'm used to harsh juice there seems to be no harshness at all in some other juice that previously seemed to have a hit.

I'll put a poll up soon Darcy, I just need to think a bit about what to ask.

I agree, there has got to be a lot of people who want lower nic but to keep harshness. We can only guess what causes some of the hit apart from nic, my guess is that there is something in the alkalinity and additives ideas.
