To be honest, I am not a big fan of 801 attys nor carts. It's one of the reason I'm staying off from certain mod(s). Probably it's user error, but if I can't use it for whatever reason, it's not for me. Smaller mini atomizers seemed to work better for me and still does. Maybe it's the way I draw or what not. 801 attys were just way too easy to draw - and since I used to pack my cigs pretty tight to have hard draw.... so I like my 4075 and 901 attys much better than 801 - even with inconvenience of having to top-off or drip more often.

Anyhow, I have both 4075 and 901 attys for my SD. I use 4075 for the carts - great vapor production and throat hit. I use 901 for dripping - because the wick is more accessable. I get much more kick out of 4075 attys - but I have mouthfull of yummy, non-burnt taste and tons of vapor with 901 atty.

I had some fruity juice cocktails, which I didn't like with my previous ones... just tasted so meh. Now with 901 dripping method, it's the most frequently visited juice in my collection. I thought I'd never be able to use it up - and almost about to throw-away the whole 30ml - now I'm in love with it. However, if I do want some kick, I go for 4075 with cart, filled with 18-24mg - and total satisfaction.

Remember, SD is one of the first commercially available mod - and things do get improved over time - and I'm sure the newer mods probably would surpass SD's performance for good margin. Most of them are also cheaper than SD as well and I'd like to have them too... But SD is giving me total satisfaction at the moment, and I am planning to use this for at least a full year before I consider getting any other mods. (and so help me god. ) Catching up with the Joneses would only cost me more money, and I already spent so much money of various e-cigs. It's not like I need 2 e-cigs in my mouth simultaneously... oh wait, I know people who vape 2 901s at once.

Personally, I don't buy that. If by newer mods = improvement you mean higher voltage = improvement - I'm not convinced.

Thanks for the repsonse, yvilla. I figured people might want a bigger cartridge, but I guess that's not the case with the SD. I'm tempted to order one, but they're not in stock anywhere at the moment so I can think about it a bit more.

WV, yes, because the 510 cart really holds more liquid, so topping off is less frequent. I bought a couple of five packs from Dietsmokes, and have been really happy with them.
Thanks, yvilla. I plan to try the 510 carts. There is a new supplier called Rocky Mountain Vapor that is providing free shipping and his prices are quite good. When he gets his 510 carts in and his KENT liquid in, I'm going to be putting in an order and taking advantage of the free shipping.

I don't blame you for being skeptical about the larger powered new PV's. I hope the Prodigy is as good as the SD. I'm a little concerned about it screwing up the flavor of the liquid. I want two larger battery PV's that I can rotate and depend on. And I would rather have more than one supplier to depend on. I hope this is it but we will see.

I've been using 510 carts in 901 attys with my SD for a month or so - a definite advantage in my view.

I got my SD about a week ago and like you guys i love it. one thing i noticed is that it works really well with the juice that came with it..flue cured i think, but with others (jc tenn. cured) not as well. it seems as though some juices clog it up or something. any other good hit juices anyone could suggest...thanks...

Is there a difference in an e-liquid "throat hit" compared to say a device, like the SD "throat hit?... It's hard to explain what I mean... But I like when I get a good throat/lung hit from some eliquids...However, I tried a 510 with my reg juice and it kind of burnt my throat.. Is that the kind of throat hit you mean in reguards to the SD?

I want a non throat burning, flavor producing mod lol

Razor, no throat burning here. Just a nice satisfying sense that I'm getting a hit, that I never got consistently before my SD.

JABLUES, I'm probably not the best one to answer your question, because I don't like any eliquid that doesn't have menthol added (I add crystals to any and all flavors I've tried, unless I actually bought menthol liquid in the first place).

Question for the Forum...

I just got my SD delivered Friday and have been vaping since. I thought the 901 carts are the replacement carts so orered a ton of blanks from Ruyandirect.com. When you mention in the thread above bout the 510's, does that mean my 901's are the wrong size or the 510's just need less refilling. I'm a bit of a newbie so just learning.

Actually, my learning curve has been shrunk by the fact that I ordered an e-cig we can't discuss here which is way back ordered. Been waiting a frustrating 2 weeks for it and after about a week my impatience and my countless hours of research on the ECF took over. Ordered my SD from Trog and it was here in 5 days from the UK, not TW. The ordered a 510 Yeti with Manual switch this past Saturday and It shipped out today. I should have it by Wed. Which means according to the ECF PV poll, I now hold two of the most popular PV's according to the forum and I have it all to thank on that other e-cig company that couldn't get their act together. Thankfully they have a 30 day return which if it doesn't dazzle even for novelty, I will return.

I've got all my spare parts and juice coming in waves from all over to set me up pretty well with my SD and Yeti. Loving Vaping....
