wouldnt it be nice to have a pv with two buttons? one for hard hits (battery drainer) and one for taking it easy? i noticed that you all keep using car gas millage vs power/speed metaphors it just seems to follow that it all depends on how you drive your car to how much gas milleage you get vs how fast you can go.

i think ill go post this in the subforum for ideas or something like that.
The difficulty lies in the number of variable that will determine battery life.

How many time an hours do you vape?
How long of a draw do you take?
Do you depress the button for a half second or for a full seconf before beginning your draw?
How old is your battery? (battery life will tend to deteriorate with an older battery)
Each one of these will vary from user to user so making a general rule that applies to all is almost impossible.

As far as the two button question. These ecigs ar more of an on/off sort of device. There really isnt much way to vary the voltage on these smaller units, although it has been mentioned for some of the 5-6v units like the Prodigy.

Are you really only getting twice the battery life from the stick that you are with a 510? Thats actually pretty disappointing. That seems like less than a regular old pen style or even the other minis.

That seems pretty consistent - the 510 batteries are 180mAh or so, and e-cigar and the JS batteries are somewhere around 360mAh, no?

I suspect the 510 atomizers have higher resistance so do consume battery life quicker, but either way, I'd guess the JS has roughly double the best 'somewhat cig profile' e-cig battery life..plus a built-in USB passthrough, so it's not so bad when you think about it..better yet if/when they make some adapters for the JS.

@Elendil - do you think the light draw is impacted at *all* by the atomizer users on the JS, or significantly? In other words, do you think the JS with a 510 atty would draw like a 510, or is it really just the JS will get easier/more airflow regardless of atty used?

Why? I would say if it is roughly double the battery life of the 510 that puts it right about on par with the battery life of even some of the other super-minis or at the very most a little less than the pens. It is still a groovy toy because of the cheep batteries, manual button, and built in usb. I was just hoping that it would get into the big battery mod territory a little more closely especially with a 360 mah battery.

Thanks for your reviews Elendil. I pulled the trigger on the Widow's 510. I definately want to get a Stick at some point.

At the end of the day,,, the thought of having a cloud of vapor that I've heard about from the 510 makes me gasp....

I'm curious,,, think the stick would stand up to outdoor work situations, like cutting the grass or going out in the woods to cut firewood??

The KR808D-1 batteries are what, 260-280mAh AFAIK. 360mAh 'could be more,' but it's all a tradeoff. One person vaping non-stop is a huge time difference versus once an hour for 5 minutes as well.

I'm just not seeing the real gripe here for a device this small... ?
I see ~1.5 hour battery life on the 510 with constant vaping. I may see another hour on an M401 battery, usually not though. I'd be content going for 3 hours, especially as that number will just go up when it's less frequent use. Of course, I'd also take a 12 hour non-stop version, too, but.. ?

Default Janty Stick vs. Dura C

I got my Janty Stick last Saturday, and still lovin' it -- put my previous fav (Dura C) aside for a few days. But... by Monday night I was having a Dura C craving! Though I really love the Janty Stick... the *flavor* just isn't the same with the 801 atomizer.. so I'm going to back sharing equal time with both of them for now... and will be looking forward to the adapter for the 510 atomizers with the JS, and (hopefully) combine my 2 favs with the JS.. that would be just perfect!

I ridiculously adore my 510, but it's good to see that I'm not the only one getting 2 hours or less on the batteries.

I get between 70 and 80 puffs per charge on the 510 which is about 5 old style cigarettes (and ultimately why I was asking since I am looking for that pack of smokes equivalent). So if I am just getting up and drinking coffee, walking the dogs around sunset, or drinking and carrying on thats about an hour or hour and a half for me, too. Maybe 2 if I am busy and just hitting it from time to time.

Also I guess I wasn't griping as much as expecting more from the Janty stick if this report is comparable. I don't need a 12 hour constant vapor (although that would be nice). Just something I can put in my shirt pocket and head out all day (or all night) with. I know its coming, but I had hopes the JS would be it. I swear on these forums you can't discuss the negatives about any aspect of these devices without people getting in a defensive huff. Everything seems to either have to be the greatest PV on earth or the worst.
