Well, as far as I understand (in a nut shell) - which I don't have 510 myself, but I've contemplated on getting one for a longest time and read many reviews: Pros: 1. Better vapor production / throat hit due to hotter running 4 hole atty, longer cut-off period, and of course, manual switch option. 2. Cart holds more liquid than 901. (And they do have less leak, as I've tried myself on my SD) Cons 1. Battery life (much shorter) - you'd need extra batteries, or PCC. 2. Taste - compared to more pronounced taste on 901, I hear some of the weaker tastes do get lost. 3. automatic batteries is also very sensitive to sound/vibration, I hear... I wonder they fixed the problem. But I think manual is indeed the way to go with 510s... ![]() Now Ruyan Direct is selling 510s and attys at 6dollars each - I do think it's a good option to go with. I might get one myself for socializing, or flying purpose - as SD or any mod does look rather... pipe-bomb like. |

taste and preference is subjective in order to compare 2 ..u need to try both and then the opinion is still subjective by individual preference..... clear as mud..

I have to say I was a die hard 901 fan, however, I am really loving my 510... way more. I like the throat hit, tons of vapor and easy draw. Plus you don't have to do a primer hit or warm up to get it going! I love the manual battery. I have to say that you can taste the flavor more in the 901 but it depends on the juice you are using. I have only used my 901 once since I got my 510 about a week ago. The reason is because my battery died. The battery life is shorter than the 901. I get about 2 -3 hours. Definitely get a pass through too. That makes all the difference in the world. I don't think you will be disappointed with the 510 and sometimes it is nice to use different kinds. I did get the 401 and hate it compared to my 901 and 510. That is just sitting in the drawer and is my backup to the backup... yea I love to vape and always have spares of everything! Good luck! |

I started with a 901 and moved to a manual 801 and the manual 510. While I sometimes use my 901, my two main PVs are now my manuals, hands down. While they both produce more vapor, the draw is also much easier which was a huge bonus for me. There were times with my 901 that my jaw would get sore. I do hear they are coming out with a manual 901 though, so you might hold tight and wait for that one. I might try it myself. Everything else lachesis said is true; although, I use the 901 carts over the 510 carts. I prefer the whistle top to the round. |

I was surprised by the amount of vapor that thing produces. If that`s a priority for you go for it. On the other hand I`m still vaping with my Evo at work as otherwise I would get busted for sure |

Smok, I think it really depends on how happy you are with your 901. I really prefer the manual switch, don't think I will ever go back to the automatic. They kit is pretty cheap, and honestly cheaper to buy two kits for extra parts than one kit and the parts separate. Each kit comes with two batts and two attys. If you get two kits, you have two chargers. You will go through more batteries. I went through about 2 with my 901 and use about 3 with my 510. Again, if you really like the 901, you could wait for the manual, I understand they are coming out soon. Of course they will be first-run and may have some initial problems. |
