Thanks Jim, And Thanks everyone for your responses. Talk about an information overload. What's so hard for me to believe, is HOW many people actually have converted, yet, if It weren't for the fact of me "stumbling" across some information on the web... I would have NEVER even thought it existed! I have to say, I don't think there's a ton of Chicagoland folk yet that even know about this. Going back to the point at hand though. As I understand it, there's also 2 different models of DSE 901s, there's the original brand, and then the RN4075 one which they say is a better knock off. What's the major differences between the RN4075 and the JOYE 510? Strictly performance wise... I don't need all the nitty gritty about the atomizer being of a certain length etc... just what makes the JOYE 510 or the RN4075 a better choice? And where can I buy one or the other from a legitmate (non-knock-off) site? Also am I correct in assuming that if you buy a model that supports carts you can "re-fill" you have your choice of either re-filling the carts yourself, or just buying replacement pre-filled carts as well? Or is it only 1 or the other? |

Get a 510 it's hot, you can hit it like a normal cig, and buy higher nicotine. Just because you smoked lights does not mean low nic juice. Takes a few days to get used too. Manual is the way to go, you hold a button, and it keeps that E-liquid a cooking. You can let it heat up for a sec or two before you start to take a drag on it too which makes all the difference in the world. All 510s are the say with different names on them. Totally Wicked offers a MEGA battery, and two of them last me all day. They are longer than normal batteries tho. I vape 36Mg. and sometimes 24mg but mostly I just stick with 36Mg. The way I vape, and like many other is just droping E-Liquid into the atomizer. This way you don't have to deal with refilling carts at all. Just pull all the stuffing out of them. Now an atomizer is going to last about 2-4 weeks. They do wear out. Yet, they are not that much in bulk buying. Say if you replaced it every 2 weeks it's 5 dollars. 2 or 3 drops of high E-Liquid 24Mg-36Mg is about 1 Cig.

Before I start this is based on my experience of one week you're not going to get huge battery life with something that looks like a cig, but I can go from leaving the house in the morning to walking out of work in the afternoon on one manual battery (I keep the auto for the ride home) so that's probably the equivalent of 7-8 cigswith my 510 (possibly 10 as I think I smoke longer on the e-cig) I have bought a usb pass through which allows me to smoke all evening no probs at home. The hit you're looking for comes from the right strength of nicotine liquid. When I first started on the e-cig I has headaches for 2 days that I though were because the 14mg strength was too strong for me, so I bought some glycerine and cut the two flavours I liked down to 7mg, which was great for those two days (I never want to smoke as much when I have a headache) but once they stopped the cravings weren't being satisfied and I have had to use the not so nice liquid while I wait for a delivery, even then I don't think the 14mg is really hitting the spot really, just enough to keep me going. The moral of that little story is; buy some strong e-liquid and some glycerine from the baking aisle, play around with the strength until you get the right strength for you, even if you never plan on mixing your own liquid again (If I were starting over I would buy a 36mg bottle, try some cut 6:1 (6mg) some cut 3:1 (12mg) some cut 2:1 (18mg) and some cut 3:2 (24mg) which will allow you to try the range of strengths that are generally available for sale) |

You need to get the Joye 510 and e-liquid. Not only is the draw so smooth and easy with the Joye 510, but it is everything you want from a PV that mimics real cigarette smoke. I bought mine from Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail and it's great. I got it last week. Also, you can opt to buy a PCC (Personal Charging Case). This is what I did. It's like a little cigarette box that holds your cartridges, atomizer, and battery. The battery gets charged from this box. You never have to worry about having a dead battery on the go. Edit: Also buy the flat whistle tips for it. It's easier to draw on and you get great vapor production. |

Long post but I figured you might benefit from my recent experience. I was in the same boat as you not very long ago. One of the guys I play poker with showed up one night with his new Blu. I had never heard of an e-cig at all and I was pretty fascinated with the concept. Next week he shows up at the game with a new 510. Says he likes this model much better and I tried it out and thought it was pretty cool. He was telling me he was smoking less than half of the normal amount of cigs he used to smoke. That was enough to convince me to try to buy one myself as I was just plain tired of being a traditional smoker. Intrigued, I started doing a lot of reseach. I'm very much like you in the sense that I will scour the internet for reviews of any purchase I make. I figure it will save me a lot of headaches in the long run if I do my due diligence in finding the best product. I eventually stumbled upon this site and I have to admit at first I was pretty overwhelmed. There was a ton of types of pv's being discussed not to mention having to learn a myriad of terms from pv, e-juice, atty's, carts, dripping, pg, vg etc etc. I probably spent about a week just pouring over the forums trying to figure out everything I could and also helping determine what to buy. Almost every review I found of the 510 with the manual battery was very positive, including throat hit and vapor production. I too wanted something that would mimic the act of smoking a regular cig. Having seen and used my friends I felt comfortable going that route. I purchased it from the same vendor he did knowing that he had a good experience. I got it about a week ago and was happy with the initial purchase since it includes two batteries, two atomizers, charging unit, and 5 pre-filled carts. I enjoyed the experience very much at first. The one thing I realized is the battery life is pretty short on the 510. So I recently ordered a PCC which is a personal charger. I haven't received it yet but from what I hear it's the way to go. The other thing I didn't like was that the prefilled carts were horrible in the sense that they would dry out very quickly. So my next mission was to do research on e-juice which is not a small task in and of itself. I finally found a place that got really good reviews and decided to purchase a 30 ml 24 mg bottle of straight tobacco flavor as well as a bunch of empty carts. I had done a lot of reading about all the different flavors but I was kind of unsure if I would enjoy those. After getting the juice I immeditally realized this was the only way to go. The taste was much better and it lasted far longer than the prefilled carts. Not to mention increased vapor production. All you need to do is top them off a bit here and there. I smoked my last regular cig yesterday morning and haven't had a desire for another one since. It really does an amazing job of making me feel like I'm smoking. I ordered a handful of other juices recently included one or two fruit flavors and assorted mix of tobacco ones. I haven't received that yet so I can't comment on them. I also went a bit crazy on the accessories and am waiting for a usb charger, the pcc, an additional battery etc. All in all, I found some pretty reliable vendors for the juice and parts. If you are interested in who they are I'll be more than happy to share. It's the reviews of these places that make me comfortable enough to take the plunge and order them online. |

| I'm surprised in there that you didn't mention a passthrough as one of the accessories you invested in. I know a lot of people spend a huge chunk of their day in front of a computer. I know I do. Thus the passthrough saves me big time on battery usage.
