| I do spend all of my day in front of a computer but unfortunately it's in a low walled cubicle at work and the passthrough would more than likely (ie size and shape) draw unwanted attention. As it is now, I actually have been very discreetly stealth using my 510 at my desk and not one person has noticed.

| Ha ha ha!My co-worker and I have been doing the EXACT same thing even though all we have right now is this piece of crap eHealth garbage! We're both IT managers, so we have to "discreetly" sneak around the cube, or go some place else so as to not draw attention. But no one's noticed! Honestly, I can't wait to try this on a plane. I don't think I have balls enough to just "smoke up" next to someone. But the bathroom stall would be a good bet i'm sure. Only question I have is, has anyone attempted to use these as a carry-on? Or walk-through a metal detector? Being that O'Hare Airport sucks in terms of their TSA hospitality... my thought is that if it's in your pocket, it's going to go off on the metal detector. If it's in my laptop bag, their going to think it's suspcious when it goes through the metal detector. Just curious on that one. Man you guys have been REALLY helpful though, I think I've made up my mind to go with one of the 510s, and possibly get a passthru cable. It deffinately sounds like that's the "real deal" i'm looking for. |

as for the review. you are going to find so many knockoffs as well as crappy models which never live up to what they promise. luckily, you are getting some information here before making a mistake like ordering the blu like most of the guys here, i bought a 510, i love it! pros: vapor is awesome, hit is awesome. cons: batt life sucks, and its a juice hog- but all things considered...its the best i have tried, and i enjoy it SO much more than an analog.

I work in IT, and I sit and vape at my desk with my passthrough all day. Sometimes you just gotta put it out there man. Talk to your boss about it first if you're really that concerned. As for the plane, yes it has been tried, a lot actually. You can find more info in the travel board here on the forums.

Looks like I'm surrounded by fellow IT nerds The only issue is that I have people coming up to my desk a lot but so far so good. Funny thing is my one co-worker popped his head over my cube wall unexpectedly and I was just at the end of exhaling very faint vapor and he had a really funny look on his face, like a dog that was just shown a card trick. I didn't say anything and he didn't mention anything. hehehe.Justaguy, definitely give the 510 manual a try. I have been very pleased with it so far. |

Oh I think you've definately peaked my interest enough to try out the 510. I think the passthru is ingenious as well. Is it just me, or does it seem like this is a product that pretty much all "IT" smokers would most likely be the first to be on-board with? It just seems like a "techy" sort of thing to me But back to the plane question, what has been the general consensus when trying to go through the security gates at an airport with either 1) this thing in your pocket or 2) this thing in your carry-on luggage (i.e. Laptop bag). I travel a lot, that's why I'm more curious about this than most others I'm sure |

I know how you feel on this, I felt the same way about my first e-cig 2 weeks ago. It was exactly as you stated, same experiencing, sucking like crazy and no smoke, battery was ****e and atty sucked too. I went to innovapor.com and bought the Joye510 with the manual battery, the starter kit was only $30 and it's awesome! The vapor is amazing, with the manual battery you don't have to suck hard at all to get a good hit and the throat hit is quite harsh. The battery last me a good 3-4 hours before I have to charge it again, and charging takes maybe 30 mins at most. Good idea to have a backup battery so you never have to wait around while the charging is happening, you can just keep on vaping. I'm 6 days today with no real cigs, the cravings are there and intense at times, but that's because my body is used to all the crap cigs were putting in my body, not just the nicotine. Good luck to you. |
