Hi all, I just wanted to post a review of thesmokelesshop.com and Katy's great customer service!
I ordered a 901b starter kit from Katy; I made the decision to go with her store because her kit overall has a lot of extras that other suppliers don't offer. The big seller for me was that her kit offers 3 batteries and 2 atomizers, while most starter kits only offer 2 batteries and 1 atomizer in a kit. The kit also comes with a USB charger, 5 empty carts for filling, a bottle of e-juice of your choice, a syringe and a case (in addition to the wall charger and 10 prefilled carts); all extras over other suppliers for only $27 more than the usual $49.95. I think this is the best bang for your buck if you're a newbie like me!
The 901 was everything I expected and then some! This e-cig definitely lives up to the reputation it has here on the forums; great vapor production, easy draw, good size and weight, and better battery life than I expected. The only problem I had was that one battery basically DOA--I know Katy pre-tests and charges all her batteries but for some reason this one didn't survive the delivery. About 2 days later, I notice one of my other batteries had an extremely hard draw compared to the other working battery, and only lasted about 20 minutes. At first I thought I might have a bad charger, but over a few days of testing I determined that it was another bad battery.
I contacted Katy right away about the DOA battery; she sent a replacement out in the mail the same day, along with a postage paid envelope for me to return the bad one. After a few days of testing the other bad battery, I contacted her again to tell her I had more bad news. She was extremely understanding and said it wouldn't be a problem to replace that one too. Then today when I checked the mail, I had two new batteries! The funny thing is, she had already mailed out two batteries before she knew really needed two; she was totally giving me an extra battery as a bonusVery sweet of her, and it really helped me out when I needed it.
The other cool thing about her is that she was actually getting ready to go out of town when she got my order, but made sure I got it anyway. It tooks days for my Paypal echeck to clear, but since I placed my order before she left on her trip, she made it a point to ensure that my package would still arrive in a timely fashion. I even emailed her a few times while she was away and she was still very helpful and kind
As far as flavors are concerned, well I didn't really expect the standard prefilled 901 carts to taste all that great from what I've been reading here, lol. I got the mixed strength regulars and medium strength menthol. In addition, I got 2 bottles of Kick juice: 555 medium and Mint medium. I wasn't a big fan of the 555, it is pretty strong and has a harsh throat hit. The Mint however, was very smooth and made the menthol carts a lot more tolerable, actually, pleasant. On Katy's website she offers a pack of 5 carts in high strength with your order but I think she noticed that I chose medium juices so she actually put a box of medium strength carts instead of the high, which I thought was really cool of her; I was dreading those high carts, lol.
All in all, Katy has bent over backwards to make sure that I was a satisfied customer and has made my first e-cig purchase a very pleasant one! I recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great starter kit and excellent service!
