The Kissbox should as it is also charging a battery. That should reduce the peak load on the USB.

I don't doubt you, but if it keeps charging past what should be the shutoff, wouldn't this kill and set fire to an unprotected li-ion battery? Or are they protected cells in e-cig batteries? Or is the internal shutoff circuitry functional but the LED circuitry faulty? Either way, I don't think I would trust that charger.

Once again, I can only report my observations, but in my experience that is how most of them work, at least on the first charge.

And it's not only MY observations. TIme after time, people post on here that they just got XXX e-cig and are dissapointed in how weak it is. Someone asks them if they charged it at least 8 hours. They say no, go and recharge it for 8 hours, then come back and post how much better it is working now.

THAT's why I pop up every time Trog insists the green light always means the battery is fully charged. Because following that advice would leave a lot of people using undercharged batteries and thinking these things just don't work.

Hey, maybe that's 20aDay's problem?

Naaah, his real problem has nothing to do with e-cigs.

You can always get a powered USB hub to plug into this way you won't draw power from the computer.

Well it worked fine for a day or two but dripping got the better of it again. I switched batteries and it started puffing like a champ again. For the rest of the afternoon I quit dripping. Instead, I top off the cart and make the end of the cart as wet as possible. It is working fine so far. Guess I'm going to have to give up dripping my Puresmoker pen and just stick with topping off carts.

Brian this happens often with my pen as well...or at least it did. I realized that I've been dripping too much and flooding the atomizer which then leaks into the battery. Once it dries out it's usually ok but as long as it's wet it barely powers up. If you hold it upside down and shake it out really hard a few times (much like you would with one of the old mercury thermometers) this seems to clean it out a bit. You can also use a tissue rolled up really tight on a corner and insert into the tiny little battery hole and clean it out a bit. After that, put the battery upside down for about 24 hours. If it's going to work again it should at that point. Next, when you drip...don't drip so much. I realized that I normally put 2-3 drops into my mini but with my penstyle I was putting in 5 most of the time. I guess it was just the size factor...it's bigger so it will handle more. Apparently this isn't the case. I now keep it to 3 drops (4 if it's really dry or i've just cleaned it) and it works fine.
