Yes I've seen some pictures of the one you described with the "steel wool" coming out. Mine isn't like that, it is inside the tube so I guess I have the latest model, but I still get some of the liquid in my mouth. Maybe not as much as the old model would.

I've just experienced the liquid in the mouth unpleasantness. It occurred when a new cartridge was placed on with a low battery. I guess if you suck faster than the e-cig can vaporize, you're going to get some liquid. Also just got my e-liquid in, got vanilla, and cherry. They both work fabulous in the supercigarette and taste much better than the supposed Marlboro flavoring that came with the unit.

Hi all,
First post and first e-cigarette received today!
I just got myself a super cigarette BN408-A from ruyanhealth.com
it's pretty good, I'm impressed so far, I only have a few issues with it and I couldn't find any info about this in this forum or elsewhere :
1 - the cardridge is very small and doesn't seem to fit properly in the atomizer.. it also seems to run out pretty fast..
2 - everytime I inhale, the flow of air seems to be making some kind of weird whistling sound.. is this normal or am I the only one experiencing this ? This is really annoying whenever I try to smoke the cig.
3 - not a lot of smoke, or rather it's not very constant, that might be why I've changed the cartridge 4 times already today, not sure if they were empty or if it is just malfunctioning.

Anyone care to comment ? did anyone have a similar experience? especially the whistling sound is annoying me.
Apart from that, it's a great product, very small, no liquid leaks (I can barely find any liquid in the cigarette even if I open it).

Thanks,
KaKaRoTo

1. Yes. That's right. It's small, and doesn't really fit in snugly, it just sort of sits there. And yeah, it runs out fast. 3-5 cigs worth or so.
2. Yep. It whistles. Perfectly normal, and perfectly normal to be annoyed by it. But it could be worse, many of them gurgle instead. A few whistle AND gurgle. I've found that to be true with all models, pen, mini, and super-mini. A couple brands haven't, but only a couple.
3. Mine gives a lot of smoke, you may have a bad atomizer. First, make sure you've charged the battery for at least 8 hours. Not every time, but just to make sure its charged up. Then try blowing through the battery end of the atomizer to make sure its not clogged. Drip a drop or two of the liquid straight into the atomizer. Give it a couple short, hard puffs to warm up the atomizer, then give it a drag. Those would be basically optimum conditions, and if it still doesn't work well, see about exchanging it.

Yes the cartridges do go quickly. Usually about 30 or so puffs. I guess to make it smaller they sacrificed cartridge space. You can tell they're spent by taking them out and pressing down on the cartridge fiber to see if there's any liquid left. I bought some e-liquid, and not only does it taste better than the "Marlboro" cartridges, it seems to produce more vapor, just put a drop or two onto a spent cartridge and you can keep on puffing for 30 more.

Hi leaford, jarvis, thanks for your answers.
I ordered some e-liquid from e-cig.com now that I know those 25 cardridges won't last very long, I should then be able to experience better e-smoking and try the dripping.
About the whistle, thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering if it was a defect in my atomizer or something. If they all do that, then I guess I'll just have to get used to it
I'll also charge my batteries now, I didn't want to do it yesterday because I've read somewhere that leaving it overnight might fry them. I did charge them though for enough time to get the charger turn green (30 minutes or 1 hour), and yes, it did seem to help, but only for a few drags...

Thanks,
KaKaRoTo

Hi again,

I had contacted ruyanhealth.com about the whisteling sound (before I wrote here) and they said that it's not normal. They are sending me a (free) new atomizer as part of their replacement policy. I hope it fixes things.
I have a friend who just received his njoy e-cig and his cigarette makes no sound at all when he takes puffs from it (e-cigarette not mini e-cig or super cigarette).
I still have (small) hope that I'll get my e-cig to become silent or near-silent one way or the other.

Really? I may have to exchange some of mine, then. And, yeah, Njoy is one of the ones I've found to be silent. But that's a pen style, not a super-mini.

I just got my RN4081 today. Its actually better than my NJoy (I believe the NJoy is defective). One of the batteries came charged so I was able to try it out right away. Not bad at all. Much better than the vapid NJoy I recieved.

For the first 3 days of my NJoy I thought maybe I was just missing something. But this little cheapie is a nice "smoker" and I finally "get it". In fact, it is enough better I think I am going to regret my "extra high" e-liquid purchase. I am getting a good hit and I can really experience the vapor. Which gave me a nice little bout of nausea in just a few hits.

Hmmm...Now I think I can get off the butts.
