510 Passthrough Question

Hello all, I feel like an idiot. I just recieved my second USB passthrough from Jason today (last one arrived last week) and I thought my first was just broken but I don't think so anymore. I think I am dumb. Soooo does the battery charge in the box? and then when that is fully charged it should work right? I have had them plugged into my MacBook Pro and they are 2.0 ports for about 5 hours now? I think, and I have one plugged into a wall charger and neither seem to be working so what am I doing wrong? I don't think it's the product. I think its me...

From what I have heard macbooks change their voltage for usb if you're not plugged in. I am using a USB hub with its own power supply and my passthru works great.

what kind of hub? I have been needing one and this is just the reason to really have to buy one.

I know that I sometimes overlook the simple little things, and never think to double check ... since you've tried two passthroughs in both a MacBook port and a wall charger with no luck, is it possible the battery is inserted backwards?

Both of my passthroughs (including one from Jason) worked immediately, even before the battery was fully charged.

very odd indeed, but i can attest to the macbook voltage dealio.. and if the wall charger doesnt have enough amperage it wont even activate either

dont worry man, im trying to get the tracking number on the passthroughs i have coming.. i will be able to replace them shortly

Dose the batt have to be fully charged for this thing to work? Cause my batt is low and now it's pluged in and it's not working.So i think it has to get to 3.7v to start working,I need my voltmeter.
