This conversation reminds me of the movie Dogma...

Bartleby: We're going home. (holds out a newspaper article) Somebody sent us this in the mail. (he pauses; Loki just gawks at him) Take it, man. And quit leering at me. People are gonna think I just broke up with you or something.
Loki: You did just say we're going home, right?
    Bartleby: Read.
Loki: "Cardinal Glick cuts ribbon on Catholicism, Wow! compaign." And?
Bartleby: You have to keep reading.
Sorry m8, you've lost me. Perhaps it's a tomatoes/tomatoes thing or maybe I'm just being a bit thick.

Lu--the one I used was Phosphoric Acid (75% solution) so it appear to be the same strenth that jbbishop has pointed out, but with additional solvents then the stuff pointed out to me that I used by Stone---Sun

I know it's hard to tell on reading, but I meant it VERY nicely.

Sun was I think, very very kind to let us in on his experiment.

    I appreciate it.

I wonder if that atomizers works properly, even in the clean state.

Perhaps regular 'prevention' phosphoric acid soaks would stop them
getting like that inthe first place.
Exogenesis--I am using one right now and will report how it holds up--everything is running fine--as these where "whimpy" at best and now running like a stack---Sun

So jb's said surfactants and dye, but your does not? I mean, before I purchase, I want to make sure it's the right thing. Looks like 75% solution is necessary. Just wondering if any other ingredients are necessary or not.

    Thanks.

The one I found appears to be around 60% net concentration, so it should work just as well I'm guessing. Surfactants are just cleansers and if food-grade it's probably something like polysorbate 80 so there isn't any harm in a little of that although it may not add anything useful - they do tend to get rid of oily residues well.

Too impatient to wait for this stuff (when I can source it). I hadn't heard of the cola solution before, largely because I find this forum a bugger to navigate. That's not necessarily a criticism, just a statement of my surfing abilities.

Anyway, grabbed a couple of atomisers from the "dead" drawer (and there are plenty more where they came from!) and plopped 'em in a glass of Aldi's diet cola. Thought diet cola would be better since there are no sugars in it. I'll leave them in there for a week or so and report back. Anyone else tried this? Doesn't have to be Aldi stuff........

I just placed an order for the Nickel friendly type. I suspect the heater coil is nichrome & the 75% solution may erode it & cause it to be even more fragile. The Nickel friendly is 30% phosphoric + lemon juice (acetic acid). I will post results after I try it.

Thanks guys. I do have a tractor supply right in my town. Might go look it up there. Also, I see they carry the nucalgon in a store in the city I work in....so I'm going to look at that one too. I think this is pretty exciting....we've all been looking so long.

And that pic...that's just awesome. Looks like new!

Do you think soaking for 24 hours would be too much? Because I will put it in to soak when I get home from work one night then take it out the next night. I usually clean 4-5 at a time.
