Default Boiling atty took the color off.

I have a blurple 901. I thought I would boil my atty to clean it, I used water and vinegar. Dang in wasn't in there 3 minutes till I noticed the color stuff was peeling off. So now I have a silver and blurple 901.

Yeah, it seems the vinegar eats away the paint. I did that to a black one, I soaked it in vinegar, then boiled in water, and little flecks of paint came off.
Cheese graters could also be marketed and sold as sponge ruiners. Think about it.

so what is the best suggested method of cleaning it then? pouring coke into it, then clean it with water, boiling it in only water, just cleaning it with hot water, pouring coke in then boiling it.

Don't want the paint to peel off my beautiful red rio......
