Atomizer and Biological Cleaning Agent

I was snooping on some other forums (an RC fourm actually) and they use powdered biological cleaner (has enzymes in it) in a pot with water and boil their carbon encrusted parts in it.

Has anyone tried using biological powder? I believe Tide would be considered a biological poweder, dunno though.
