Default Experimenting –Hazards, Warnings, and Rules for Posting

______________________________________
Read First—Experimenting –Hazards, Warnings, and Rules for Posting

Some members have chosen to experiment with different methods to add additional life span to their atomizers and other equipment using various solvents and chemicals. All chemicals, solvents, and other methods posted hee are not indented for the purpose they are being used here and they are dangerous to handle and use. These members who post their findings and discussions under this section are for the purposes of experimenting.

This Forum and its member’s posts are in no way advocating the use of any of their postings or findings. It is dangerous and anyone that does not heed to warnings does so at their own risk. Again people, these are experiments!

Many Chemicals and Solvents, even ones that seem like very benign household items can be extremely dangerous when not used for the purpose that the chemical or solvent is intended for. The use of many if not all of these Chemicals, Solvents, and Procedures discussed and employed here by members may in fact be dangerous that can cause injury or even death to themselves or others and there use should not be employed.
Posting Rules:
If you wish to suggest a cleaning agent, you must find out what it contains
before posting it here as a recommendation to other users.
Include the full ingredients list in your post, together with normal purpose of the cleanser.
If possible, include a link to the MSDS (materials safety data sheet) information
that is usually available on the internet, and easily located by an internet search.

If dangerous chemicals, such as strong acids or alkalis, are involved,
you must include a clear statement that the cleanser should be regarded as potentially dangerous,
and also add that sensible safety precautions are necessary (e.g. goggles and gloves).

Note in your post any health risks of the product or procedure, such as:
known carcinogens, toxicity or other high risk chemicals or by-products, flammability, etc.

Be particularly careful about recommending any cleaning agent or method to other users.
It would be best to frame the post as a topic for discussion.

Please be aware:

Chemicals, even household chemicals, can be dangerous, both to handle and to use.
They can react violently and release toxic gasses when mixed.

If you decide to try any cleaning method, either seen here or devised by yourself,
consider carefully if you have the technical understanding of the science and the risks involved.
You are strongly advised to take all precautionary measures and be prepared for possible spills or unexpected chemical reactions, etc.
