Okay, I know I have seen a million threads on this and everything from coke to all the stuff, but seriously, I have 3 4075's here that I'm about to throw at the window. I was about to snap today trying to be able to vape. The draw was so hard on them, they still all vape, but something is not right. I know that cuz I just pulled out a brand new Totally Wicked 4075 and it's all smooth and works again just fine. One of my 4075's is 3 weeks old so I can understand that, but the other 2 are basically brand new and are doing the same thing like they've been used for weeks. I boiled them in water and hydrogen peroxide yesterday and still they, just seem flaked out and draw hard and I can't sit and vape with them but they are NOT dead. I blow them out every night and set them upside down. Like I said 2 of them are pretty much brand new and are doing the same thing as the 3 week old one. It's just been a mess today and FINALLY I gave up and put in a brand new one and it's all smooth and works. My question is, does anyone have any ideas on what TRULY works to get these things working again and smooth not a hard draw and gobs of juice in my mouth every other puff? Like I said, they aren't dead. Thoughts.......... suggestions? Thanks. |

I think boiling in a volume of H2O2 is not anywhere near as effective a 'boiling in place', i.e dripping H2O2 onto an activated coil (if you can arrange that). Better than cold soak, but I think the degree of 'fizz' is completely different. And maybe try the 'dry burn' first, to burn off as much as possible & ash the gunk. Then again the hard draw isn't caused by a dirty coil, presumably that's due to gunky liquid in the metal wick? Can't see why boiling wouldn't clean that out. Or maybe caused by the boiling itself, deforming the plastic bits. Were they already hard to draw before any boiling ? |

Yes, they were at a hard draw before boiling. All wicks are completely silver, not even dirty!!! I do not have the tools nor know how to heat them hot with connecting to something.

The ONLY thing I have done different his past week is use the passthrough with the powerpack the entire time. Do you think this could be toasting my attys? With that said, wouldn't ANY mod running on 1000 mah toast attys?

It may be important to qualify traits associated with 'dying' atomizers and review whether we are using similar parts or original parts with our devices. There seems to be so many convoluted threads discussing the cleaning and 'what can I do with my dying atomizer' threads. If we use the exact same parts on our devices, that is one thing we can record. But, it we purchase other atomizers, batteries and USB pass-through devices not sold be the original manufacturer of our personal vaporizers, then we have mixed in third-party equipment into the mix. That said, atomizers should be considered disposable items. It has been said countless times before. I really do not believe you can bring an atomizer back from dead, and if it is possible, the vicotry will not last very long. |

Well yeah, I agree. I mean the one I've used for 3 weeks, okay, I can accept that. But when two BRAND new ones that I have hardly even touched are doing the same thing, that's what is so strange to me. Now I put in a brand new Totally Wicked one and it's vapin like a God minus the Devil. LOL |

I guess I'm going to need MORE than my 38 I have stashed in attys if the ban hits. Guess I'll have to put in another order with Beci for another 50. Without atty's we cannot vape! We can always have mods to use for the battery part, but attys are priceless!

Okay so what should I try on these 3 hard drawing attys one more time? Also do you have to put them in the oven, as I've seen people say, or just let them dry out for a few days on their own after blowing on them after boiling. Vaping is just incredible until you have to deal with all the pain in the butt stuff. I've had it with the 180 mah batteries so I'm over them by using passthroughs and getting a mod on its way, so that problem is solved. I understand that attys will be disposable, but sheeesh 2 brand new ones drawing hard and not vaping right? uggg :-)

I also use a small can of compressed air and that helps a lot.
