Atomizer after 4 wks of heaving vaping (and dripping) {Pictures}

Okay, I posted pictures of this JOYE306a atomizer when it was brand new.

Now, after a month of heavy dripping, and constant vaping, I have pics of it and what it looks like. I removed the wicking material in an attempt to rid the atomizer of a flavor that wouldn't go away. This atomizer was cleaned with steam and hot water/vinegar a couple of times and was soaked in a 30% solution of citric acid for a couple of hours a few days ago. It still vapes great though without the wicking material under the bridge it seems to take a little longer than usual to re-prime after rinsing with water. At one point I thought it was completely dead and had let it sit around for a day and half after attempting to prime and vape it. I guess it wasn't completely dried.

Just a few notes on this atomizer. I "dry" burned it. REPEATEDLY! I couldn't get the taste out of my atomizer and in desperation, pulled the wicking out thinking it might help. After soaking it in citric acid (dishwasher cleaner, lol) and rinsing it lots of hot water I blew it out, let it dry overnight. The next morning, I put it on the battery with out the mouthpiece and blew to activate the battery, over and over and over again, sometimes for 10 seconds or more at a time. This thing got HOT. Bright orange hot. I did this on a fresh battery and I did this until the battery needed to be recharged. Knocking the atty, some crumbs fell out, sorta looked like pepper. Then I attempted to prime this atty and it wouldn't vape. At this point I figured it was dead. I was thinking that the excessive heating, melted the solder or the wiring and ruined it. I set it aside to test cleaning stuff on it later. Yesterday, I mistakenly put it on and vaped it. WHOOPASS vape. Heh. It seems to wick a bit slower when dripping but other than that, no issues with it.

If there's an atomizer out there that's been used and abused, it's this one.

Bizzy--this is a good example of the original idea the manufactures had with the battery cleaning clycle--but it was not long enough or consistant enough. As you have shown here, do not give up on the atomizer if it does not vape right away--the Mesh--once cleaned and dryed, does need time to wick before it will again produce vapor---Sun

Yeah, after my experience, I definitely have more faith in the "cleaning cycle". However, the built-in cycle is not long enough. I will be manually "dry burning" my atomizers for maintenance.

With all the posts I've read where people are "burning out" their atomizers so quickly, I'm beginning to wonder if I've just been extraordinarily lucky. This atomizer has been veritably abused but has kept on fogging.

Bizzy--after doing this manually many times--I can tell you that it is all in the timing and the condition of the contacts on the coil--to long a burn and too weak a contact point and the atomizer is done----Sun
