Just wondering how you guys and gals, that are using the Steam Clean method, are getting on......Are you still finding that its the best method for you..........Particularly interested in what ApOsTle has to say, as I'm looking to buy the "Electrolux Steam Gun" from Argos............ Any feedback would be appreciated as I don't want to go and spend £40 and then find out its not the best method after all........

After reading about the compressed air, I just tried blowing mine through using a can of air (like you use for cleaning the inside of computers) and I was amazed to see the amount of liquid coming out of it (first time i'd cleaned it, and I might be over-filling my carts) ... seems to work a lot better now (it was getting a bit 'tight')

Got my Penguin mini steamer yesterday, gave the atomiser 3 blasts each way as KatyS described and my atomiser is working nicely again.

Just a word of caution! Too much steam can be a bad thing. Inside the DSE901 atomizer, behind the little workhorse is a hard plastic cap glued into place. Then behind that are the 2 little wires that connect the atomizer to the battery screw metal plate. I was able to kill my atomizer by steaming it to much, it dissolved the glue or whatever was holding it in place. My next use of the device in the AM proved fatal. The atomizer inside the tube broke free. No more atomizer! As stated before quick short bursts, do not steam it for long! When I get around to it, I'll take some pics and post my dead little friend. |

P/S: Remember to use the plastic paddings/basket between the metal plates and your atomiser.... otherwise your little wires might be shaken out of place or broke into 2..... once the ultrasonic starts to work.... you can see cloudy things starts to float out from your atomiser!!!!! Wow.... | |

Some people here tried ultrasonic cleaners before and didn't think they were any good for atomisers.
