| Put household towel around steel wool and blow through the battery end and repeat till you get most of the water out. Then perhaps let it dry for a while like Magarnagle said. I abuse mine without liquid..

Well CalPilot said he threw his in boiling water....but he never said how it went. I soaked 2 of mine in vinegar for a while, then let them sit in hot water, blew them out and set them up to dry. The first one I tried seemed really "dry" (for lack of a better term) and hard to draw. Make sure you put more juice on them after the washing. I did that and mine finally came around. The second one I just blew on the battery end and it didn't seem as hard to draw as the first one. I don't know if they even really needed to be cleaned....blowing on them might have worked by itself. I would have tried that first if I had known about it. Lu |

Gave in, submerged my atomizer completely in boiling water for 15-20 seconds. It's only a day and a half old but I noticed a nasty taste in it and less of a draw. Letting it dry overnight, will post in the morning how it is working. |

I have two puresmoker.com 901 atomisers. I noticed one atomizer was hard to draw and gave wimpy smoke. figured it was just my first atomizer ****ting out on me in two weeks. First i used my mouth to blow the juice out of the atomizer, then i placed it battery end up cartridge end down in a shotglass with a piece of paper towel in the shotglass, underneath the atomizer. I then used a syringe to inject about .5ml of 91% isopropyl alcohol into the battery hole. I let this sit for a few days while i smoked the other atomizer. After i'd let it drain completely and blew through it a couple of times, it doesn't taste like alcohol and it works like a brand new 901 atomizer. The new atomizer has now gotten a little wimpy and i've done the same thing. I'll report back when i switch atomizers again. But basically isopropyl alcohol works so long as you let it drain for a day or two while you use your other atomizer. Isopropyl will evaporate completely and leave no residue as i imagine other type of alcohol might. It tastes terrible if you don't let it evaporate though. Make sure it doesn't smell at all like alcohol from the cartridge end before you use it. Again, i'll update in a few days when i try this other atomizer. I don't think there is any way alcohol can possibly break it as there is no heat or evaporated residue involved, although use caution because some atomizers might get their paint stripped by iso alcohol (afaik the dse901b will not lose paint if it touches isopropyl, others might). I haven't tried boiling but i can't imagine it works better or is safer than this. |

Isopropyl alcohol strips the paint on Janty classic atomisers |

Kate, Sorry about the paint-job on your atomizer. I think i remember reading somewhere that isopropyl stripped one of your janty classic atomizers. That really sucks, and it sucks doubly so because i am quickly finding that this isopropyl method actually works. I have two dse 901b atomizers. I'm now on about... oh say 2 weeks on these atomizers. They were getting pretty wimpy and honestly i would have probably tossed them if i hadn't cleaned them with isopropyl. One of them also had a burnt taste to it from running it too dry right out of the box (maybe hitting it a little aggressively, too). I've cleaned both with isopropyl in the last 5 days and both basically came right back to life like a new atomizer. There's no burned taste and the draw is super easy. You could try taping the painted parts with electrical tape, kate. Just run all the way around the thing taping really tight, then place some paper towel in a shot glass. Now stick the atomizer in so all the taped part is covered (the paper towel is thick so you can really wedge it in there), and use a syringe to inject some isopropyl into the battery end hole of the atomizer. It should run through the atomizer and get absorbed by the paper towel, never touching the paint. Anyways it, works so far. I'll keep updating to this thread. I only remembered to post because my atomizer started going sideways today, so i took one out of the shotglass that i'd been cleaning it in, popped the old one in with some isopropyl, and the one i've just cleaned smokes like new... again. Now i am concentrating on getting a better battery. Gonna have to build one of them magnum things. Damn, awesome vapor out of this thing. |

Well i have been vaping for a little over 2 weeks now and just today switched to the new atomizer....wow what a difference. I didnt realized that over time the atomizer can become so harsh. I have been using an air duster thingy to blow out the left over juice and sitting it upside down over night but still nothing like a new one....maybe the alcohol cleaning would do the trick....Zach when you say it smokes like new do you mean the harshness is gone...anyone know what i am talking about??
