Kimmie, it never ends - it's a hobby and we are addicts. I've been e-smoking for about 3months now and I'm beginning to feel I have everything I need. I have 4 e-cigs, an ultrasonic denture cleaner, Polident tablets, 40-something flavorings, VG (Vegetable Glycerin), PG (Propylene Glycol), 153 proof grain alcohol, menthol crystals, an egg cup and a shot glass for mixing batches, pipettes (eyedroppers) a whole bunch of 3 ml Sweet Breath bottles - filled with Bickford's or homebrew, a few bottles of e-liquid, a supply of blank cartridges, a supply of filled cartridges, extra atomizers, and I think that's about it. I will continue to buy a new e-cig from time to time and of course e-liquid, and flavorings and ingredients for my homebrews. But I'm pretty well set for the time-being. Whew, I'm outta breath now!

I'm assembling a sort of E-cig toolbox a collection of gadgets and doodads that people use for thier e-cig "hobby" and i was intrigued by your list could you explain how you use some of your items with exception to the obvious ones thanks!

Wow! i've just spent entirely too much time readin all the post in this thread lol but got alot of good information and and several ideas to try out ( being a new e-smoker) thanks for all the great info!

I know that there is a product out there used to clean water pipes, i believe it was called 421 bong cleaner or something. anyhow it was a product that had some sort of alcohol with granular stuff in it. I wonder if filtering the granular stuff and using it with the atomizer would work. Would probably need a rinse and dry after, but if it can do an awesome job at cleaning the residue from water bongs, it'll might do a great job at the atomizer gunk! Not sure if anyone has tried a similar product...

I don't think using canned gas dust removers is a good idea. They contain a toxic flammabe gas. Read the warning on the can.

Ok here's one that will probably make you all laugh. I bought some cinnamon candy flavor from Wilton to try out. Got the wrong stuff cause it clogged my atomizer up and tasted nothing but burnt cinnamon for 2 days now. Tried boiling and every other thing to no avail and was going to right it off as a learning mistake. On my shelf was a bottle of Pipe Sweet. Its used to clean out your pipe when it gets sour tasting from use. It removes all the tar build up and gunk from the stem and shaft and leaves a fresh taste.

You guessed it.

I taped up the battery end of the atomizer and filled er up. Let sit for an hour and then flushed with boiling water again. Good as new! Its main ingredient is alchohol so I assume that was what made it work.

I agree, to using the computer cleaner can, I have a huge air compressor in my garage, that would probobly blow the guts out of am atomizer.

well after reading this post i went out and got a steamer ( walgreens 30.00) a bottle of canned air lol and bottle of 190% proof everclear ( it's true what they say DON'T! lol drink it strait ...trust me!) anyways i have an atomizer that i experiment different flavors with well one was not good and as others did i got that burnt vape taste heavily thought i was gonna have to toss it but here is what i did it may be overkill but it worked!

4 step process lol

1. can of air - blew it out on both sides
2. boiled for 5 min
3. steamed it both ends until i was satisfied
4. soaked it in everclear for 20 min or so

let it dry out and rest for a few hours and......

it lives! good as new and kindy shiny too!

lol yea overkill i know but it could of been just one that solved the problem or a little of all but it works so i was content.

smokingclam.......where do they sell the "pipe sweet"? Cigar-smoking shops? I have an atomizer I used with some D.I.Y. wintergreen juice and nothing has removed the smell and flavor.Is there any remaining taste form the "pipe sweet" itself?....One more thing..did you boil first or after using this? and for how long? Thanks! The Wiz!

Pipe sweet can be bought at most tobacco shops that have pipes. You can also find it online at most online pipe dealers. It runs about 2-3 dollars for a 2 oz bottle. I tried boiling, boiling with vinegar first and that didn't work. Pipe sweetener is mainly alcohol with some minty flavor I believe as the only ingredient it says for sure is alcohol. Do an online search of pipe sweetener and you'll find some.I did boil it again after using the pipe sweet and there is no taste from it remaining. Alot of pipe smokers use 151 proof rum to clean with and swear its just as good. Though I could never waste good rum like that....
