Figuring out what I spent on e-cigs compared to buying patches and gum or analogs I am saving money already. Addiction or not I have to quit as my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer so I didnt have much choice.
Having an income of 2400.00 a mth go to 674.00 a month is tough so yeah I plan to get all the bang I can for my buck.
OK OK EVERYBODY HOLD ON!!! FIRST THINGS FIRST.

Ok, onto everywhere else.
I can understand in today's tough economic times that there are those that may not have the luxury of always having a stockpile of atomizers handy. Then there is of course the fact that when you are ready to order, everywhere you go, everyone seems to be sold out. I guess I have been lucky with atomizer orders.
Don't get me wrong, I want my atomizers to last as long as possible to. That's why I try my luck at "Preventive maintenance".
1. Instead of waiting for them to get clogged before their time, I drain them every night to delay that.
2. I rotate my atomizers through out the day. I am a heavy chain vaporer and by rotating them, I am not overworking the atomizers that may cause them to just give out on you with all the abuse I put them through.
3. In order to avoid ripping or tearing the internal wiring inside apart, I very carefully unscrew the atomizers on/off the batteries. Many people have shorted out the wiring internaly by man handling the atomizers when screwing and unscrewing them off the battery causing them not to function anymore.
4. Once a week, the one's that start to fall behind in vapor or start to taste alittlle like metal. I give them a quick rinse under the tap, blow them out, drain over night, good as new the next day.
Yes, we are all in pursuit of the same thing..staying away from analog cigs for the obvious reasons. But, as far as money saved, it varys from person to person. For me personally, I have spent in the last 3 months more money (purchasing other models, e-juice, atomizers etc) than I would've if I were still smoking analogs.
I have found that many people on this forum (including myself) have become e-cig addicts. Not that it's a bad thing, but one of the setbacks of being a e-cig addict is that you will eventually find yourself spending more money than what you originally thought.
If you have not gotten their yet, I highly encourage you all to stay on top of your e-cig habits and expenditures before you find out at the last minute how much you have really spent.
And yes, I believe that somebody will find the perfect way to keep our atomizers going for months on end, and when that day comes, I'll be here reading the post. But if you dig deep from last year to present, the number of different ways to clean atomizers has gotten incredibly crazy.
From my experience that average life time of my atomizers, doing what I do, is about 2 1/2 months.
Yeah, the upfront cost are high, but in the long run, I believe that I'll be saving a good amount of money. Couple that with time saved and being productive elsewhere...even more money.
For those that have their labcoats on and continue to come up with creative ways to save us all, keep up the good work!
The greatest things in life always started with an idea !!

First thank you for taking the time to add him to your prayer list. His name is Richard Wyatt and has stage 4 non smalls lung cancer. It was 10 cm in his upper right lobe and has spread to some of the nodules in the lung. Luckily it didnt spread to any other organs or his bone. It was discovered on 1-1-09 and confirmed 1-5-09. He has finished his last round of chemo before test will be done again in early April. We have been shown shrinkage after he finished his radiation 2 weeks ago. Thank you again for doing this for a stranger as we have seen the works of prayer already and continue to pray for more.
God Bless

Well after several puffs it is starting to produce a little more vapor. For anyone who had done this coke trick is this normal?

That is the kind of feedback we want to hear--How cold was the atomizer when you started? And how is it doing now. Also please note which model you are using for us--we need feedback--Thanks--Sun

I had it pretty cool when I started. Its the classic penstyle that fits on the RN4072.
Now I only dried it for about 10 min after rinsing it and blowing on it. (basically until nothing else was coming out of it. I dripped a few drops (3 or 4) to prime it. Battery light would come on but no vapor at first. I set it up to dry some more although seems just the dripped liquid came out. Re dripped 2 rops and started getting little more smoke but not as much as I had prior to this. Atomizer is still getting warm although it still seems like not as much vapor. It may be my imagination though as I had high expectations I guess.

With my 901 I had to puff rapidly 10 or 15 times in a row before the atomizer warmed up. Then its worked fine.

I have tried this Coke method on the 89mm that electroniccigarettesales sales. It works pretty good. For 3 days since I tried the coke trick, it has been working like the first week I got it.I have had this one for about 2 months. I will try it on a 901 next when the smoke starts to diminish, but so far I have not have much problems with ant of the 901b atomizers I purchased.

Yeah it must be a re-warming or priming thing as it seems to be producing more and more vapor with each puff I do. Thanks to you all as I think this coke maintenance may actually work weekly as a bonus to the blowing and letting them drip overnight.

Were you able to actually visually see a reduction in carbon deposit on the coil Sun? I am curious if Cola is dissolving some of the buildup, or if the Cola is just cleaning the atomizer really well.
