Pot with one small hole(3-4mm) should work as well. These things can be dangerous if you go overboard and don't limit pressure somehow. I just seal the lid by pressing down with my hand. Smaller hole means more pressure needed to get that steam out which in turn means that the lid must be sealed or it doesn't work at all. It must be flat around the hole so that atomizer makes a good seal. Piece of paper with hole in middle should make a decent gasket.

Oh boy, another gadget I can justify buying because it has another use! I always thought those steam cleaners were kinda cool. Jigtg, I don't understand. Could you please help me understand what you mean? (Pot with hole) - don't quite get it. My brain is foggy sometimes.

Also, "lid must be sealed" - what lid?

I think he's describing how to get steam out of an ordinary pot on the stove. I just boil mine, so, I'm....Pre-Steaming It seems to work Awesome.I have to admit though, it IS a bit safer than trying to get on top of that locomotive to clean the atomizers. I'll never do THAT again! ... Today ... before 5:00pm CST.

| Image:Teapot P1100116.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ought to shed some light into this. It's just a sort of chamber where hot steam exists from one hole.Placing atomizer inside plastic funnels "throat" and pressing(with plenty of force) that against boiling water works best so far. Some hot water actually starts sparkling of the top... Somewhat water proof gloves and clothes are a must with this. Some types of plastics might start melting. Oh, and you might loose the paint job on your atomizer. @SmokingInTexas: Oh dear.. locomotive.. |
