Atomizer "break-in" at low volts vs high volts?

We know these atomizers are subject to different results for each of us, and with the various brands/models/etc, it makes for a wide range of end-results.

I have been vaping on this "throw-away" atomizer for almost a full month at 6V (mostly), probably 90% 6V, 10% 3.7V. It had been used in a 3.7V PV for about two weeks prior to that. The atty still performs extremely well. I have done little in the way of maintenance, aside from the occasional alcohol soak when I need to clean out a strong flavor.

People have reported "popping" their atty's quickly after vaping at higher voltages. Would it suggest that breaking in an atty at lower volts, to create some build-up on the heating element may improve the durability of the atty running at higher volts?

Interesting thought....I don't have the answer but I'd like to know, too, b/c I use both. Anything to give more mileage to attys.

Speaking of mileage, maybe it's kind of like breaking in a car.

I tried it the other way around and it seemed to boost it on the lower volts after. Dont take my word for it though. I only tried it twice. Probably a fluke? Perhaps the experts can tell us something here.
