Ultrasonic atty? in Tips and Tricks; couldnt we use ultrasonic atomisers and achieve a non-heated vaporiser? it would prevent any dangers from burning fiberfill and whatnot... ...

    couldnt we use ultrasonic atomisers and achieve a non-heated vaporiser? it would prevent any dangers from burning fiberfill and whatnot...

    i have a small humidifier that uses ultrasonic technology, and the air isnt heated at all.

    discuss!

    It would be nice, but unlikely to be worth the negatives:
    -Vapor will not be warm
    -Ultrasonic transducers can accumulate mold/bacteria
    -They can "vaporize" things like dust and particles in addition to the liquid (bad for you)

    Heating seems more archaic, but for how it is being used, I don't think ultrasonic is necessarily the best option.

    There's been a few threads about this idea, but this is generally what it seems like people settle on.
