They you won't have to spend all your time modding the damn thing to make it work, it refills in a flash and it's mess free refill with no worry about the right material or a shot of juice in the mouth. I have a few of the three piece units and it actually helped me stop smoking but for long term use a 2pc is the way to go, far less hassles and it evens out on cost if you refill them yourself which 99.9999% of us do anyway.
Snarky: there are many people.. such as myself... who have tried the 2-piece systems and have found them to be lacking on one or many fronts. I can go into details... but you've heard them before and have turned a deaf ear.
I am pleased that you personally have found something that satisfies you. That is great and wonderful. Why don't you concentrate on your own personal enjoyment and spend less time ridiculing or insulting the systems or people who have chosen a different solution?

So far, so good Grimm. You need to cut it a bit longer and a bit wider than the cart to compress just a bit. The first one I cut a bit shorter in length, and it squashes down in the cart (I'm using a low bridge penstyle).
It works better compressed a bit, the holes are perfect for wicking and seems to hold a ton of juice. I use a bent tip mini dropper to force fill through the foam, but you can move it aside with a paperclip or toothpick.
So far, I'm happy with it BUT, like I said, I'm only a few days in on it. It is working fine in the 510 too.

For me, it is a quest.... to make the only consumable item the juice. That is what we are here for right? A better solution for consuming nicotine than smoking analog cigarettes.
When smoking analogs, you consume the cigarette, the lighter, after long term use is consumable also. If your lighter only lasted 5 cigarettes, your cost of consumption would go up. It would also be an added PITA to get a new lighter every 5 smokes.
Just my personal goal, to have reliable long term paraphernalia with one consumable product.

I've been using the Hagen AquaClear Foam for a few days in both my Penstyle (DSE801/302/RN4072) and in my 510. A friend gave me a chunk of it. Seems like it would also also compress to make a plug mod, but I have it cut for the full cart size. So far, I'm loving this. Anyone know just what it is made of? There isn't any sign of degradation, melting or off flavor with it at all. Great stuff!

The blue foam (I use Marineland size "U") works great as a plug. No spring, nothing. Drop in 10 drops of juice, cap it, vape it. Simple and easy.

So far, the Shredded PTB mod has worked the best for me. It seems to stay cleaner than the polyfil crap that comes with the carts, and definitely easier to clean. Its the closest I've gotten to dripping...without dripping and has never flooded my atty (I use a 510) and tops off easily. I was going to try the blue plug but am not willing to shell out Petco's price of $15 for something that will only yield a marginal, if any, improvement over the PTB. That being said, I do like that the plug allows for more liquid to be stored in the cart. I like what one of the other members said about using a fine mesh brass screen.
For the most part, I use my PTB in the car. At work or at home, I use a cart that I drilled out for dripping - works like a champ.

After a week or so of using only PTB (frayed) mods, I can with confidence say it too is a juice waster. Every single one, which seemed to be dry, was taken out and inspected. And every single one, much like polyfill, had a butt load of juice left despite giving me harsh no-juice throat hits indicating otherwise. They just don't consistently wick and they also harden after a few days of use due to gunking up.
The blue plug/slug mod is the only one to date I have found that consistently and completely drains the cart to empty.

I gave up on the PTBs because they were a royal pain in the butt to work with, and they don't work as good as the blue foam anyway. And the blue foam is EASY to work with.
Blue foam beats PTB in every way, in my opinion.
Having said that, I am now using the ADP mod with a plug of polyfill.
It is working perfectly for me, and my search has ended.
YAY ME!!!

I to tried the tea bag and it did not work well for me. I am now using the foam and I am real happy with it. I drip in to the cart then push it down with a toothpick and pull it back to the top. I cant believe the amount of juice it holds and I get all of the juice no waste.

I use the face buff stuff but put tea bag material around it. When dry, I put a three drops in, blow on the open end, put more drops in until I think it's full. Then I let it sit. I do check the filler material off and on, but don't usually change it out but once every one to two weeks.
Has vodka in it so I'm not afraid of it growing anything.
Quick, easy, and don't have to handle juice directly often.

my first experience was good, but now i used the foam methode.
