This works great! But Iam still wondering why I don't get a mouthful of juice like I have with other methods.

Well done Scotty! I am using the vertical spring method on my Sidesho and it is working wonders. I am using the poly material that origionally cam with my carts. Thanks, I just went the other day and bought three boxes of pyramids...

Oh well, maybe I'll start drinking tea...

Quick Edit - Hold on! Just made one using the Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags and it works great as well!

    Back to coffee...

Another thanks to SCOTTYBALLS here! Used this mod all night last night and didn't waste a drop of liquid. Only went through a cart and a half chain puffing my 510 SB for about 3-4 hours. Gonna dig out the 801s that I had given up on and see how well this works at 6v!

Greetings scotty, pleased to meet you.

Tried this out yesterday when you first posted. 901 cart on a 510, 510 cart on a 901. Don't ask, I don't know, it's just what I like.

So I've the spring in 1 cart horizontal, The other 1 vertical. Both work well as others have described.

There's been a spate of really good, simple ideas lately. I like simple. Keep 'em coming!

Will this mod work with Fluval?

Every post here says to use the original Poly-fil.

    Comments?

(The Ingenuity of People on these forums still Amazes me!!!!!)

    Kudos Scotty!!!!

I think some of the other methods work more like an oversoaked sponge to loosely hold the liquid.

This may work more like those envelope moisteners - the liquid is more or less held back by the cap until it is drawn through by the negative pressure.

Carts could eventually look something like this, with a sealed reservoir chamber and a sponge-like cap that pops or screws in place:

I used Fluval. It wanted to stick to the atty so I took my pointy tweezers and poked it in the spring just a bit. Worked great, we went out last night dancing. Closed the place down. One cart each. Didn't even need to refill and you KNOW we were using the hell outta them, dancing, drinking, costumed up, lol. It was awesome. Now I just have to wait for that order of springs and raid a few to hold us over!!
