PTB with spring would work just fine, easier than rusty staples...

wow thanks for the replys! I just came off a 12 hour shift and must say it worked like a freaking champ! I only used 2 carts! actually Im still on #2! much better yesterday I went threw 5 carts with ptb and half them hits were not that great felt dry and out of juice after a few good hits. Today was awsome the vaper was really moist and I was making huge clouds of vapor at everyone that walked by my desk lol... few co workers ended up ordering e-cig kits today after trying it out !!

I went a little bit different with my spring mod. I recently disassembled one of my atomizers and have been using the metal wick material from it as an interface between the cart and the bridge. I cut my spring slightly shorter than the reservoir and inserted it with the cut section down and the flat double wrapped "end" towards the bridge. I then took a small portion of filler and "capped" it with the metal wick. It sits slightly above the cart and when inserted gently pushes the entire assembly against the bridge. I use the disassembled atomizer (jaunty/801) to hold my 901 cart (only one I've done so far) for filling. I've haven't been using it long but I haven't detected any seepage, man I need manual batteries, and it seems to be working well. WARNING, test your bridge height before doing this, pushing the two metal wicks together with too much pressure will likely damage the bridge. Not to scale :P Code: ******** * metal * |* wick *| |*fill fill*| |*fill fill*| |*fill fill*| |fillfillfill| |fillfillfill| | spring | | spring | | spring | | spring | |

after 2 510 carts in a row with this very simple to do modification, i am really pleased. imo thee is no need to fiddle with additional PTB and other stuff, it just works as is.

I see there are a few that dont get why its not leaking.. Keep in mind were not smoking water, the viscosity of e juice is somwhat thick and is why you can use a PTB filler with all the air gaps and not leak.. that and maybe the fact that when you fill it up with e juice there is no air gap and it creates a vacume in the cart stoping it from flowing out? all hell I dont know your guess is good as mine but it works |
