Honestly, that looks like it would leak like a sieve and drown the atomizer immediately. I can't see how that small amount of polyfill would be enough to hold in a large reservoir of free-flowing liquid.

Because the bottom of the cart is empty except for the juice, the spring holds the polyfil up top of the cart to keep the juice from spilling out too fast. Genius, Ima have to try this

I just did this with a 901, and it seems to work quite well. I have not vapped on it for a long time, but so far no leaks.

I've actually been thinking of something similar, but couldn't figure out what to use to keep the filler material from getting pushed down into the cart. The spring isn't a bad idea at all, though I'm not sure that the shape or material is ideal.
Ideally I think a piece of extremely coarse/porous filter material would be ideal to fill the majority of the cart - especially if it could be permanently bonded to the thin layer of filter that would touch the bridge.
Something like:

Something like:

Go to the hardware store, I got filter material for hvac that is blue(coarse) bonded to white (fine). It is a poly material so should work for your application. I used all mine for pond filters. If you have trouble finding it, I got mine at "paul b. zimmermans" in Ephrata PA. They will ship and might have a web site as well.
