Default How to clean KR808d-1 Auto Battery threads?

I recently switched from a manual 510 to an auto 808, and am not sure how to clean the battery terminal.

I would use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel with my 510, but the threads on the 808 are much different, and dont lend themselves well to this method.

Does anyone have a technique? Or some suggestions?

    Thanks!

Almost all of my kr808d-1 batts are manual, but it shouldn't be too different for an auto. Toothpicks, q-tips, and rubbing alcohol. Not perfect, but good enough for me.

Do you just clean the outer threads?

Thats what i mean skydragon. the outer threads are the easy part to clean. what i mean is the interior of the terminal. in between the positive and negative connections....

Paper is slightly abrasive. I use tissue because I can cram it in there (without TOO much force, of course) and twist & turn the tissue. The brass polishes up nicely. Two months isn't a long time, but my brass looks as new after two months.

Alcohol can be used with tissue in a separate step to clean surface dirt.
