Listen, if your idea generally works, I think it's a fantastic addition to our knowledge. I think Kate from the Order of Wholly Technofoggers should bestow you a commendation or something--we could call it the Vapers' Award for Pioneering Excellence (VAPE)!

hmmm...yeah if you soaked it in pepsi for 2 hours and it made no change I would have to think there's something else the matter.
Can't win 'em all
I do hope, though, that this will help to inspire others to start trying new fixes and techniques. I mean...you can't really break them, yeah?

Something that Pepsi is good enough for to be granted a place in my home. Now to hide it well enough from the kids....
Thank You!

Bumping this thread because it's the only method i've used to clean atomizers that actually really works. Anybody with a dead atomizer needs to try this!

Would generic Cola work the same as Coke? Because I used no name Cola and had no luck.

Not sure. We know that RC has a lower pH than any other soda (it's more acidic) with Pepsi being #2 and Coke being #3.
It's hard to say what any other type of cola is packing as far as acidity.

I have a bottle of coke classic and I'm thinking about trying this method. The thing is, all 3 of the atomizers I'm rotating seem to be ok, but it's possible that I have not noticed any gradual decline in performance. I'm mostly curious to see if the cola bath will improve performance and/or flavor, as that will tell me that atomizers degrade with time, but slowly enough to not be noticeable.
Is it worth the risk of damaging one of them? I have 8 total...I'm guessing I could afford to lose one, and I'm not too worried since it seems nobody has destroyed one in a cola bath yet.

At this point in time I would give one of the three a go--It will not hurt the atomizer--at worst you will end up with what you have---Sun
