When my husband was in a few weeks back he did take his PV with him and used it when he was admitted... this time they kept him in the ER the whole time- he didn't use it more out of respect that people were in there for many different things and he didn't want to ask and explain so he could use it... His doctor approves of it though which is great for him... One because it's his doctor saying that it is much better for him and if that is what he has to use rather than cigarettes, he is all for it- Also, because my husband has high blood pressure and has had a heart attack- he has a stent and has been hospitalized numerous times since w/ many factors affecting his heart- the fact that the doctor gave his okay on these is great! I was worried that with his blood pressure issues and heart attack, the fact that he still has problems, the doctor would tell him no- but he said he should just watch the difference in pressure when he vapes- don't miss his meds, and when he goes in for appts, they will check him out-

You couldn't win any money, but instead you could win tickets to put into drawings to win prizes.

The people there consisted of upper middle-class, who's child probably attended that school. I went with my friend and his mom who is an elementary school teacher. I showed her the ecig and how I could stealth vape and she thought is was neat.

So here we are drinking and playing black jack and I was stealth vaping. I looked over at another black jack table behind the dealer and there was a dark haired lady who looked to be in her mid-thirties that was giving me the stink eye. Actually it was kinda like this :confused:. The look on her face was priceless. I wish I had a camera. She must have seen a whisp of vapor escape. She was definitely questioning my demeanor. I just looked away and played a few more rounds. Then I look over again and she was still staring at me. Only this time the look on her face was more like this :mad:

At that very moment my friend wanted to go outside and smoke an analog, and I thought it was a good idea to go elsewhere at that moment as well. So I went with him and vaped openly outside. There was a funraiser volunteer who was smoking and saw me and said 'Thats one of them hydro-smokes.'

Anyways I didn't see that lady for the rest of the night, and nobody else gave me any trouble, and I continued to stealth vape the whole time.

Using sign language with the black jack dealer, such as tapping the table to hit or waving over your cards to stay is good when you are holding vapor in your lungs and can't talk during a game.

I started out with a KR808D-1 kit and have since purchased and now use my Joye 510 and loving every single vape I take.

I don't know about anyone elses neighborhood, town or city, but here in southern MA I have never seen or heard of anyone else who uses one of these PV's. Perhaps there are some who don't want to be seen in public with them, but I have yet to see another one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but around here there is not one single law, bylaw or anything else regulating the use or possession of my PV. They are NOT illegal here. I have every right to own and use my PV and no matter who says what, I can legally vape anytime and anywhere I want to. Am I right? Yes I have heard of many places throughout the country where they actually have been banned, but not around here.

Look, I am not a self-righteous, stubborn SOB. But after all my years of being shunned and ridiculed and told and ordered when and where I can smoke analogs, I refuse to let anyone tell me I cannot vape - there are no laws/legislation that says I cannot. I do not and will not vape just to intentionally draw attention or start any unecessary trouble. But as I have several times already, I will explain and demonstrate to anyone including business owners/managers exactly what it is I have and why I use it, and that there is no evidence that I know of that there is one single cancer causing chemical involved. I'm not harming myself or anyone else around me. But if the owner/manager asks or tells me he or she would rather I did not use it in their establishment, I would gladly and willingly adhere to their request. They do have the right to refuse admittance or service to anyone they so please.

PV's are a relatively new and unheard/unseen novelty right now in many, many places and I get that, I understand it. I just don't like to read so many stories of members who are really afraid to use it in public, you have no reason to be. If I am refused entrance to some place just because I have it in my possession, fine, I'll put it in my car but they have absolutely no right to take it from me, it is not illegal.

I didn't want to fumble with parts and liquid and the bottle's cap etc. while standing unsteadily so I use a little shelf alongside a wall to set the things down the parts down.

Security immediately rushes over and demands to know what I'm doing. I show him the bottle and he's still not convinced. He wants me to demonstrate but won't allow me to drop my "illicit substance" into my "illicit device". He calls the manager over. It's not until I explain that I'm trying to quit smoking do I get some understanding and an OK.

It made me laugh. It was my first time using it in public and I was trying to be discreet. We were out on the smoking patio too! He said he thought I was gonna snort who knows what. Who snorts a liquid?

I imagine I'll have further misunderstandings in the future too. hahah :)

The bank was closed because a construction crew was resurfacing the entire lot.

I was puffing away, and looked up to see a few of the construction guys grinning at me, and making hand motions like they were asking if I had any more "weed". (Their equipment was very loud, and you couldn't hear them even if they yelled.) Since I couldn't explain that it wasn't some sort of weird pipe, I just shook my head.

Well, let's just say I got bored and decided to stealth vape, more than 10 feet from other customers, discreetly palming my volcano while I waited. Well, I ran into an old friend from high school and started talking to her and forgot to maintain stealth mode for less than 30 seconds (two drags I'd guess). I let out a glorious cloud of vapor and a guy walking by said "Are you really doing that in the store?"
My reply was simply (and i was quite polite) "It's electronic, sir. There's no smoke, or smell, what you saw was vapor." He shrugged it off, shook his head and looked irritated.

Now, being that I am starting my own business to retail these products, I am very very interested in public opinion. I was walking past him while he was waiting as I left and I said "Sir, if you don't mind I'm curious as to why you still found it offensive once you knew it wasn't harming or bothering anybody." He said that it didn't matter, and once I very briefly explained that I wished to not offend anyone else with it, he did this cute little waving motion with his hand to shoo me away. He then said something like "We're done talking." I kept my cool but I still said pretty loudly "You really should not be so close-minded about technology that saves peoples' lives." Most of the other customers were really intrigued and their reactions told me they were "on my side."

My roommate thinks he was having a bad day and once he couldn't put his finger in some one's nose he just got defensive. My roommate also can't find any reason what I was doing would be offensive unless he was just so stuck on the fact that it was a cigarette.

Thoughts? I love to hear feedback. I dread another run-in like that. I've explained to 200+ people in Winchester how e-cigs work and have had nothing but praise for quitting smoking and comments about how e-cigs are genius.
