Now he has made them available to all of us, I bought mine from vapor4life in the USA, and I love it! It fits my VK, Dura-C and Kissbox Classic with handly holes to get to the manual button. Its nicely made and painted. Never again will I forget where I put my PV down :D

A nice little solution to a little problem for anybody interested, or it might make a nice stocking filler for the vaper in your life

So I got one of these in today. Ungodly fast shipping. I just placed the order Wednesday.

My initial thoughts are simple: Drew currently has the best value going in a commerical mod kit. As for size, it's slightly smaller in length and width than the Prodigy. The body is aluminum, so overall it's pretty light. There would be some slight weight savings in using all aluminum construction, but it looks nice with the brass.

My 75 dollar "bare bones" kit came with a 901 endcap, an 801 endcap, the body, and the typical Drew "extras". One thing that makes ordering from NHaler a little like christmas each time. My extras were the bag, the tweezer and dental pick set, a cartomizer adapter, and four sample carto's of different flavors. Very cool extras considering I had also ordered five greencig and five KR's to test.

The batteries are a good fit. There's about a half a millimeter of play around them, which is better than average.

The button is a bit of a compromise, but it's not bad. Rather than put a lock on it, it's just slightly more stiff than a typical mod button. You can rest the device on its button and its own weight can not trigger it. I don't see this device going off in a pocket. The button action is smooth and good. It's not the easy wonder of the GGT button, but it's not a high effort button either.

I ordered the plain vanilla "1" model. I wasn't a fan of most of the colors as they looked like christmas wrapping paper to me. This is subjective though. The "1" model does come with a clearcoat protective finish. I've already peeled it off because I'm going to shine up the metal and get some engraving done.

How does it vape? Fantastic. Just like any other high volt mod. If you are a newbie to mods, you simply can not compare anything to them. Your 510 or cartomizer at 3.7v is lightyears behind a good high volt experience.

How does the voltage drop feel?

It's noticable. I have a Janty Tawa I've had for a while that's very sensitive to voltage, and you can taste the difference between "cap screwed tight" and "cap loose". I'd say it's a more subtle difference than the Prodigy, suggesting that it's not dropping the voltage as much.

Cartomizers are fantastic at high volts, and work great on this mod. I've tried both the KR's and the Greencigs, and I'm going to have to give a nod to the Greencigs. They just work and taste better. The KR's seem to get way hotter quicker, and lose flavor fast. The Greencig is like a slightly smaller slightly more convenient DSE801 at high volts. Side-by-side comparisons with one found them hitting about the same, with the carto having slightly more flavor, and the 801 producing slightly more vapor. Thing is, you could have the same kind of variance in the same batch of 801's you ordered from someone.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the product and the value it represents. I'll do a video review after about a month of using it.

Let me know if you have any questions

Altsmoke has a new mod hot off the griddle! I was one of the lucky few to receive a BB for review. Initial impressions are that Altsmoke has a winner on their hands.

So, who am I and what can you expect from my review?

I was a 35 year smoker - 2 packs a day. I have vaped exclusively for about six months now. I have several mods (Silver Bullet, two VP1s & VP2s, and several Coppers). Additionally, I own many 510s, a few 901s and a M401 Dragon.

I'm a Senior Mechanical Designer with 17 years of experience. My review will be a critique from the perspective of an engineer.

For those that want a general, short winded answer; the BB has a robust design, thoughtful choice of materials and is compact and versatile. It gets a thumbs up.

A few specifics about the BB:

The unit is .85" diameter x 3.55" in length and weighs 2.6 oz with battery; about 3 ozs with a 510 atty and mouthpiece.

Main shell is CNC Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum

This is an alloy with Magnesium, Silicon, Copper, Chromium and Titanium as it's main elements. It is corrosion resistant, machines well and is considerably hard for aluminum. The T6 designation means it has been heat treated to further increase its hardness.

The atty connector is pressed in

There are two basic ways to do this; pressed in or screw in. Normally, a screwed in connector is superior in terms of strength and permanence of mounting. Sometimes, a screwed in connection must be used if the design doesn't have sufficient strength to accept a pressed in connector.

The BB features signifigant wall thicknesses in it's design and because of this, a pressed in connector can attain near the permanent stability of a screwed in connector. The connector is pressed in under great force with an interference fit - the hole for it is .005" smaller than the connector being pressed into it. Quite strong, but a screw in connector would have been somewhat better.

Very smooth thread engagement

One thing immediately noticeable is the fluid like smoothness when unscrewing the body to place or change a battery. These threads are machined with multiple passes and polished. This produces a very exact shape and surface of the thread. The Noalox anti-sieze lubricant that has been applied gives it the dampened, uncongealed feel. Hit up your local home improvement or hardware store and get yourself a small tube. A very welcome change from a couple other mods I own.

Hard Powder Coat finish

This stuff is pretty tough. I found out the hard way... I dropped the BB from about two feet onto an asphalt parking lot. I found a couple marks. No dent, no crack, just doesn't look pristine any longer.

The powder coat process involves electrically charging an item then spraying a powder with an opposite charge - opposites attract. The item is baked as high as 650 degrees for several hours as the powder melts into a contigous mass. Chemical changes occur which make this particular coat on the BB aproximately eleven times harder than the paint on your car.

Additionally, there are two finishes available: Smooth or Crinkled. I tested the smooth as evidenced by the photos. I found a pic of a crinkled BB on a post in the Altsmoke ECF forum.

Push Here

The switches on the BB as in the SB are very heavy duty. The switch you see on the outside is the mechanical switch; it operates an electrical switch that actually opens and closes the flow of electricity. Many electrical switches are only rated at 10-40 thousand actuations, MTBF (mean time before failure). The mechanical switch on the BB is rated at One Million actuations! The electrical, at 200,000 actuations. This is above and beyond any mod that I know of.

Aesthetically pleasing, robust, versatile and compact

I tested mainly with a 510 atty that had been previously broken in (about a weeks use), 14500 LiOn batts (meter shows about 4.2v no load) and my own juice that consists of a 50/50 mix of PG/VG-H2O @ 24mg/ml with 7% Capella Coffee Bean flavor and 4% Capella Chocolate flavor (21.6mg/ml). I used this mix exclusively throughout the review period (two weeks).

EDIT: I wanted to add that I use about 3ml of liquid a day. Your mileage may vary...

Additionally, I tested at 6v with 510, 801 & 901 attys. More on that a little later. All vaping is done via dripping.

Quote:

Tolerances can be held up to .0005"

In use, it is quite comfortable in the hand and the button is in an expected, comfortable position. Feels natural to use. It's lightweight and easy to carry.

With a single 14500 900Mah (stated) battery, I am getting nearly a full day (8-9 hrs) with it using a 510 atty. Vapor production is substantial and flavor is pretty good. A 901 proves similar but produced more flavor for me. The 801 was a bit warmer and almost too flavorful at this voltage. Alternate attys are utilized via adapters sold by Altsmoke.

I popped a couple 750Mah CR2s in there and tried the 801 at 6v. Wow... Volumous clouds of warm vapor with nice, strong flavor. Great throat hit and just a little too much chest hit at five seconds! Keep it at three... This ended up being my favorite at 6v. Shorter hits, and all the perks.

The 510 is nice at 6v. Surprisingly, it wasn't a warm as the 801, and it had a little harshness to the flavor. Still not bad. The 901 was equally as cool, but had better flavor. Still like the 801. Got a good 5-6 hours out of the batteries.

Did I mention I like the 801 at 6v? OK, good.

Only problem with 6v is the availability of protected cells, or lack thereof. There are LiFe chemistry cells which are safe, but have much lower capacity.

One plus is primary CR2s are available most everywhere. They're expensive, but if you get stuck with a dead battery and no way to charge... $10 could save your sanity. Much cheaper than Prozac.

A built in protection and/or voltage regulation circuit would have been nice as this could be the ultimate small high voltage mod.

EDIT: My only other observation (thanks Puff Daddy) is the omission of a master off switch. Although, I carried in in my jeans pocket without incident; perhaps because it takes a solid push to actuate it. But I suppose it could fire in your pocket.

In closing, I have to say that I'm impressed with the BB. It has a couple minor design features that I would change, but I'd be proud to have designed it.

The additionally functionality of an available pass through is evidence of a plan well thought out.

The obvious elements of strength and longevity in it's design, and using a facility to manufacture it that has over 150 years of combined experience shows a commitment to quality.

Once again, Altsmoke has taken the high road and brought a quality product to market.

Hi all, I just got my Chuck today with the 510 tip and got a pair of disposable CR123 batts since my battery order hadn't arrive and I couldn't wait to try try it out. :)

I opened the package and my Chuck looks soooo much better than the pictures on his site. Pictures just simply cannot do the paint job justice. It's a nice hefty weight without being to heavy but I can see why many have dropped it and broken floor, especially with a battery in it. The threads on the cap are nice and smooth and I doubt they would ever seize or have any problems.

The only issue I found with it was after inserting the batteries it wouldn't wouldn't power on whatsoever, but after verifying my atty was good and checking the resistance through the switch and finding a much higher than expected resistance, I figured it out. The screw inside of it had worked its way loose a little bit during shipping and still had contact, but not a good one. A couple quick turns with screw driver and it's all good.

I have to say, I made a 5v/6v mod using AA Ni-Mh batteries and everything tasted burnt, so I honestly didn't get get my Chuck to do HV vaping because of this. I was just planning on using it with a big 3.7V batt. After getting the 3V batts to tide me over, I may just change to HV vaping all the time. Once I get my 3.7 batts I'll have to see which is better, but I am absolutely AMAZED at how much better my Chuck works than my homemade mod!

I must say I love my Chuck already and it will definitely be my new primary device.

hi guys. im new to this forum!!! first post!

I noticed this Health-E cig model on Amazon.com. I currently have about $100 in my amazon gift certs. i was looking to purchase my first E-cig through amazon... but it looks like i should probably avoid this model.

I noticed another model on Amazon called "V2". Has anyone heard anything about this one? i can't find any decent reviews ANYWHERE on the net. the starter kit is selling for $99.99 so i am trying to get some feedback before i jump on it. if anyone can help i would appreciate any type of review or feedback link.

sorry for posting in this thread... but i am not allowed to make a new thread because of my newbie status.

is there ANY information on this model on this forum or anywhere else?

this is the product page on amazon....

Okay, here's my very first ecig review:

The Health E-Cigarette

I started vaping a very short time ago. My wife's ex loaned me an NJoy that he had so I could see if I liked vaping. Keep this firmly in mind as you read my review, k?

The Health E-Cig is an interesting little toy. It comes in a 'pack' that also houses the charger. Contents: 7 carts, one atomizer, one battery, one 'pack' that houses not only all the stuff already listed, but the charger as well.

There was some sort of gunk in my atomizer that tasted like death on toast and until someone here told me how to get rid of it, I thought the damned thing was unsmokeable because of the nasty flavor. Once I got that issue straightened out, things changed.

Things I like about this unit:
1. Battery life seems good: at least as good as the NJoy.
2. The flavor of the carts supplied is not particularly horrible.
3. It seems to be durably made.
4. The packaging is cute! Making the charger part of the 'pack' is a clever idea.

Things I don't like about this unit:
1. They could have cleaned out the damned atomizer before packaging.
2. The cigarette package shaped carrying container has no place to carry an assembled e-cig (this means, of course, that you have to carry your assembled cig around with you separately).
3. The kit only comes with one battery!!!!! Run out of battery and you are without your vaping device for several hours while the battery charges.
4. There's a rather large 'bridge' coming out of the top of the atomizer. This sticks up into the wadding in the cart and I suspect it helps produce flavored vapor. DO NOT TWIST THE CARTS WHEN CHANGING THEM: if you do, the 'bridge' catches the wadding in the cart and pulls it out!

So, there you have it: I have as many issues with this device as I have points of praise and so I would give this unit 5 out of 10. It's NOT HORRIBLE, but it's not wonderful either. Long run, I think it will be an effective back-up vaper, but not the kind of e-cig that anyone would want to have as their primary.

Hope you find this review helpful!

Health Cabin's fast shipping arrived to the States 6 days!
I got the no frills just the battery holder and 2 battery's with discount code "ECF" $42.50 shipping $15. Had a 14500 charged up and ready for this unit. They come with unprotected cells but a protected 14500 will fit. A protected circuit is build in this unit. The Lights basically act like a regular e-cig. The shape fits well in the hand and feels light weight but solid. The bottom switch or you could say the master switch is unobtrusive. Standing the unit up on the bottom switch will not engage it. The side switch feels of a higher quality than a regular battery switch. My girlfriend is enjoying the light indicator she digs it!
Vapor produced same as any other 3.7 volt device.
I bought 2 my girlfriend is using one and the other (I tested it works) put it away for now. If anyone is gonna break it she will. She has been using it for one day and this baby is still working top notch! So I'll update this thread as needed. So far what I can tell this piece is pretty sweet for the price. I'm thinking about painting over the led plastic on mine, just leaving a slit to light up. maybe someone can photoshop a slit in the lite up pic I posted?

I am an apprentice painter and this job site Ive been working has a dumpster for all the junk. Well....it was time to clean up and I was grabbing all the garbage (with my car keys in one hand and my e-cig in the other..BAD MOVE)..anywho I tossed the garbage in the trash and didnt think anything about it until I got in the truck and looked for it and couldnt find it anywhere. Thank goodness the kit I got from you had 3 complete sets of PV's. I searched the job site (4500sq ft house) looked on the floor thinking I dropped it somewhere and no luck. I was thinking that maybe I tossed it in that dumpster but I had another appt and was running late so I had to leave without checking. Needless to say the last 3 days its been too cold to spray paint so I hadnt been out there for 3 days and my little e-cig im convinced is in that darn dumpster...So today it was warm and I went to the jobsite and started looking for painters trash (we were the only ones working in the house, the floor guys came today) I found the area where the trash looked like the stuff i tossed and im digging like a homeless lady lookin for cans and low and behold at the bottom of this yucky dumpster I SEE IT!!!!! It was a little dusty but not scratched or anything but there was alot of stuff on top of it. So I wiped it off (no food caca, just drywall and stuff) and took a vape and the batt light was bright and It vaped a huge cloud and I vaped on it the rest of the day. Now hows that for durability!!! I got myself a lanyard so that will never happen again. Just thought Id share that with yall Happy Vaping

So,
I just received my Nebula starter kit in the mail today. I can't believe how nice this thing is. I started out with a starter kit from GreenSmoke and I wasn't really that impressed with it. The vapor production is impressive, but the throat hit is lacking, and I was using the "high" strength cartridges. The Nebula gives a really good throat hit and gives off about as much vapor as you would see from smoking a regular cigarette. The customer service from Ben at Vapornine.com is second to none. He personally responded to every one of my emails and made sure that I was completely satisfied with everything. If you're just starting out with electronic cigarettes or if you've been vaping for a while you should seriously give the Nebula a try. You won't regret your decision.

So i discoverd electronic cigarettes about 3 weeks ago and did a bunch of research and decided i wanted in. I figured i wanted a dse103 and a bunch of attys and a passthrough and what not. I wanted it all lol. I looked at a bunch of USA and chineese based websites and found Trueman-ecig.com with the most competitive prices,.. aside from shipping. I searched and searched and could not find to much for review for this vendor but decided ill go ahead hope for the best.

I placed and order on monday night that included, 103 kit, extra battery, 3 attys, 25 cartridges, usb charger, car charge/usb car adapter thingy, passthrough, 50 ml camel, 10 ml grape, 10 ml menthol, 10 ml red bull, and a carrying case. Total after shipping was $130, and shipping rang in at right around 30 bucks. Payment was nice and easy with paypal.

So, i placed the order on monday night, by morning the order was shipped and i had tracking number in my inbox. I was impressed and quite exited my first order was on its way. I watched the tracking number everyday and it took forever to get out of china, at least it felt like. It made it to customs on sunday i beleive, and it was at my doorstep moday morning (i live right next to Chicago, IL). I was very impressed with the 6 day shipping and packaging was awesome. There was tape around it about 17 times lol. they taped the crap out of it.

Everything shipped to me worked exept one atty. I emailed them and they emaild me back within hours. They said they where sorry about the bad atty and a new one is on the way. Abolutely incredible. They have exelent customer service and great everything it seems.

As for the juices that ordered. Redbull is quite good, the grape is ok, perfect for a break between the others. Menthol is good, but a bit pepperminty. And last but not least the camel sucked. I mix 2 parts camel to one part menthol and it is an exelent menthol smoke! You cant beat there juice prices tho, 50 ml of 18strength for 14 bucks. and about 25 flavors to choose from. I cant wait to make it around to some of the usa vendors like dietsmokes and what not.

All in all i highly recomend trueman-ecig.com. They have great prices and quality customer service. I will use again.
