I had a couple 510 att's that were about a 1.5 months old. These test subjects were producing very little vapor even though I set them to drain nightly. I used the waterpik on one of the lower settings to clean the atty's. I also read here on the forum that denture tabs work well to clean att's so I added one of those to the tank of the pik. Second, I rinsed with plain h2o via the pik. Then drained/dried att's approx. 36hrs. I think it worked really well as all seem to be working good as new now. Been using one for a week & it's still vapin' like champ. :-D

Hey All.. Still Kinda New to this (Can't even Figure out how to set my Sig Yet, But Anolog free for 32 days Now)
My Dilema, I Have Settled into the Convenience of the KR808D with its Cartomizers and enjoy it very much. I have also Acquired a Pretty good Stock of Liquids, Unfortunately Nearly Half are no where near the Throat hit I enjoy.
Can I get Some Advice on what Part of the E-Liquid mix consitutes the Throat hit ( is it Glycerin, or does that just increase vapor thickness ) and whatever it is, can it be added to increase the throat hit on all the Mild Liquids I have. Or through experience has anyone of you had this problem and found a sure way to increase the Throat hit?

any advice would be greatly appreciated

I thought I would share some information I found out last night. I left the USB cord to my PCC charger at work last night and my PCC ran out of power. I noticed that the part the charger plugs into resembled a Motorola Razr charger so I thought I would give it a try. I took my extra battery out and just charged the pcc as a precaution. It worked. I didn't leave it on for long but the Razr charger worked. I know the Razr was a popular phone at one time so I am sure a lot of people may have an old phone with the charger laying around. I just thought I would share what I learned in the event you are desperate to charge your PCC like I was.

I was looking at battery holders for doing my own 5v mod, and came across some that had a built in 5v regulator that steps up the voltage from 1 or 2 batteries and regulates the voltage to 5v, or some that are adjustable from 2.5-5.5v.
Here is an example Pololu - Bodhilabs VPack5.0V 2-AA Battery Holder w/ 5V Regulator

I saw that the amperage was limited on this one (200mah) so i searched for a standalone step up/regulator and found this
MAX1703 Datasheet - 1-Cell to 3-Cell, High Power (1.5A), Low-Noise, Step-Up DC-DC Converter

it is rated at 1.5 amps. What do you think? I thought maybe 1 C battery stepped up to 5v, @ 1.5 v its ~4500-8000mah, so @ 5v would that be 1350-2400mah?

Got my battery info from List of battery sizes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Any thoughts or criticism?

A three week old TW-801 atomizer suddenly went cold on me, I picked up my 5volt mod to take a puff, and nothing, completely dead.
I very carefully tried the Jaaxx method to fix it, but no go..

I took it apart, peeled away two layers of mesh to expose the ceramic bowl.
The coil running across the bowl was encased in a black sheath, looked like carbon to me.
I took a small pair of needle nose and gently squeezed the black sheath, the black stuff crumbled and fell away exposing a thin spring like wire coil, the wire was broken at one end, I don't think I broke it when squeezing the coil.

The black sheath?..thoughts?

I hate to lose an atomizer, but to be honest, I've been waiting for one to die so that I could take a close look at one and see what I'm dealing with.

I guess his brother is in similar shape, so I reckon I'm on thin ice right now.

btw, These two attys have been totally neglected, no cleaning, and had a rough first week of life. I need to get way more than 3 weeks out of an atty.

I thought it would be good to vape from my easy chair, rather than tied to my desk top port.

So I hooked it up, vaped better than I ever had.
After a while decided to work at my puter a while. hooked up PT and all of a sudden noticed my PT wasn't working shortly afterwards. I think my battery is dead.

Do any of you have an answer to what happened?
this is the mdl adapter I used

OPPS! I met ADM! LOL..

Ok I was tired of topping off even with the PTB mod I hate having to waste juice do to fillers well no more I think I might have found somthing that works much better then most of the mods ive tried this is for the Joye 510.. Dont worry it dont really drip but it seems like you just droped 2 drops on the atty every hit till its gone!

What you need

1 spring from a pen you know them clicky ones

Small peice of polly fill

cartridge

First Cut down spring so it fits in the top of the cart sidways

Fill cart with juice till it hits the spring

ball up a small peice of polly fill stuff, you can make about 3 out of the stuffing that comes in the carts.. stick in the top of the cart and top off with 1-2 drops insert in the atty and Enjoy!

I tried 1/2 the bag, the whole bag, and every amount in between. Anyone else experience this? I will even start with a dry cart, clean atty, and clean filler. I add 6 drops to the cart, start hitting the PV and I'm gurgling after 2-3 hits. Kind of frustrating. I have watched all instructional videos even... any suggestions?
