Okay, here's some of my Wild-A$$ed Ideas to promote vaping... sure, I haven't actually done it just yet, but only an idiot couldn't tell that vaping is safer than smoking, so I think it should be pushed and made socially acceptable, ASAP!

And hey... life is about people, so I think we should target certain groups and people as part of a strategy to conquer the world... so feel free to add whomever you wish to the list...

1) Obama- Hey, I hear tell the Prez likes to sneak off and burn the occasional f**kstick... why don't someone make a concerted effort to make Obama aware of vaping? Hey, if the Prez digs it, we're in!

2) Musicians- There are no cooler folks in the world than musicians, right? Turn all of your band buds onto vaping and watch it catch fire!

3) Jerry Doyle- I pick this right-leaning, talk radio host out singularly because I'm pretty sure he's a smoker... maybe we could get this Michael Siegel cat (btw, anyone vetted this guy?) on his radio show. Hell, any smoking, talk-radio host will do. I can tell you one thing, though... if you couch the whole vaping thing into a "they want to take away more of our rights" kind of arguement, you'll go far with the right-wingers...

That's all I got for now... so remember kids... we're only like 6 degrees of separation between me and Kevin Bacon taking dual, auto-bat hits up his nose! :-D

Stay Inspired,

Hello Terri,

From our President

Thanks for the Awesomeness. Do you mean the proposed FDA ban that started in April? Legally, by law, the FDA can't ban a product due to the lack of statistical research testing. If such a case were to prevent the sale of these devices and their components, we have a prime attorney to defend this industry. In fact, we'll take it to the next level and file class action litigation (with all e-cigarette vendors in the U.S.) which defends our specific privileges. This in turn, will delay any type of ban, in accordance with Federal laws, until such methods of nicotine delivery can be disproved otherwise. That should take a couple of years.

However, they can decrease the pace of imports from international entities (i.e. weeks to months), hence the reason why we've taken the proactive step of increasing our stock inventory. We've used specific Activity Based Costing to determine statistical purchases based on popularity and market demand. Let's put it this way, we're ready to take on the world...well, by next week.

Note: This shall not be construed as legal advice and is disclosed to you as a statement of opinion.

I wrote and email to Mr. Sherin, President of the American Association of Public Health Physicians thanking him for his open mind on a fair evaluation of the e-cig. He actually sent me an email back:

Dear Mr. Sherin,

I want to thank you for your open mind when it comes to a fair evaluation of the E-cigarette. I have been a 20 year smoker and have been smoke free for the first time in my life. You would not believe the improvement in my health. Once there is a fair evaluation of the E-Cig and "analog" or traditional I am hopeful that we all can make informed decisions.

Again, thank you for your open mind.

From: Mr. Sherin aaphp.or g

You bet. I think they can help many smokers. If we endorse the concept in some way, I wonder if my association, aaphp.or g can receive an educational grant from a company to help educate physicians. Kevin

Today is a great opportunity for campaigning. Go outside and join the smokers on your work-breaks. Show them how your PV works.

Look in your paper for a feature story on the Great American Smoke Out, and write a letter to the editor that responds to the story. Be sure to mention the title of the story in your letter and the publication date.

Keep it short -- under 200 words. Keep it positive. Most newspapers accept letters by email and include something on their web site about what they look for in letters to the editor.

This notion just came to me today whle watching some Sci-Fi movies.

Wouldn't it be nice if the E-cigarette were to surface in a science fiction movie/tv series? It could be a device from the future, that saved billions of lives.. or alien technology etc...

An advantage to the science fiction angle would be that claims about safety could be made without being scrutinized as present documentd fact while giving some much needed exposure.

Dear Electronic Cigarette User,

My name is Kyle Varner, and I am a researcher at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. We are conducting a survey of users of electronic cigarettes to determine if and how they affect the smoking of analogue cigarettes.

Your participation in this survey will help further medical and scientific understanding of electronic cigarettes. This survey should take no more than five minutes of your time. We are collecting no personal data, so you confidentiality is 100% assured.

If you can spare five minutes to answer our questions, we would be very appreciative.

I was trolling some news sites and was graced with the pop-up on the CNN site that included this dialogue:

Welcome to iReport, where people take part in the news with CNN. Your voice, together with other iReporters, helps shape how and what CNN covers everyday.
So you know: iReport is the way people like you report the news. The stories in this section are not edited, fact-checked or screened before they post. Only ones marked 'CNN iReport' have been vetted by CNN.

iReport invites you to take part in the news with CNN. Your voice, together with other iReporters, can help shape what CNN covers and how.
At CNN we believe that looking at the news from different angles gives us a deeper understanding of what's going on. We also know that the world is an amazing place filled with interesting people doing fascinating things that don't always make the news.

The link at the top takes you to an information page that links to pages spelling out the conditions of use, ect..
It seems like an avenue for those who can write non-inflammatory articles (-or include- shameless self-advertisement of "my ecig product or site") that want an audience as big as CNN is capable of providing.
Check it out, I'm certain that there are some great ideas waiting to be developed for this sort of media outlet.

Bring any thing you would like to sell or trade. We will be providing alcohol and paper towels for sterilizing equipment so you can try each other’s devices. If I can get my hands on any thing to raffle we will have one and the proceeds will go to spiky to help toward the study she is conducting on second hand vaper. This may be the most important meeting we will ever have. The town of Paramus on Monday the 23rd will vote on a law to make indoor vaping illegal in all places of public accommodation. We hope you will join us and help spread the word. Let me know if your coming and if you are bringing any one. I made a reservation for 15-20 people but have to give a more exact # asap

One of the best ways to get good articles into mainstream papers, is to react by writing a well thought out comment to the editor. When editors see a lot of comment regarding one particular topic, they assume it is newsworthy and do more investigation. After all, they want to produce articles that people will read to boost their on and offline readership.

This is also a way to provide some of these journalists with the other side of the story, and for some, the other side is just too hard to research. So help them!

Here are some of the recent USA Today Articles:

If you are interested, Contact Us: Feedback, Comments & Suggestions - USATODAY.com is the place to post your letter to the editor in 250 words or less. So, as it needs to be a small post, can you sum up your thoughts in that?

Some talking points:

Combustion vs. Vaporization

Specifically in response to the USA Today article (about China): Making the suggestion that e-cigarettes need oversight simply because they are manufactured in China is a logical fallacy. How many other products a year does the United States have made in China? Furthermore, the United States has its own manufacturing scares, such as in the case of tainted peanuts earlier this year.

Approximately 440,000 people die every year from combustible tobacco smoking, yet in the five years that electronic cigarettes have been on the market, there have been no known adverse health effects. The FDA’s warning against electronic cigarettes has no scientific backing and is based on unfounded fears and untested assumptions.

PG has been designated by the FDA as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use as a direct food additive. It is also in toothpaste, hand creams, and food coloring. The EPA has also found it safe for inhaled products that are used commonly throughout highly populated areas such as hospitals and doctors offices.

Electronic cigarettes provide adult Americans an alternative to combustible tobacco cigarettes. A ban on electronic cigarettes forces the public to give up its right to choose, restricting their options to known deadly combustible tobacco cigarettes or smoking cessation products that fail 95 percent of the time.

Why is it that the FDA, through their Big Pharm- and Big Tobacco-backed affiliates and partners, is trying to ban electronic cigarettes, when traditional combustible tobacco cigarettes are approved for adult use? Electronic cigarettes offer the consumer the same experience but without the deadly toxins, and the only option the FDA wants to give consumers is the one that is a known killer.

PS: And for heaven's sakes: Suppliers: Please do not put advertising links to your website with your comments. If you have a well written and focused blog... that's one thing... but please post a link to the relevant information that you would like to share ie: That particular blog post. And not to your sales portion of your site. Information dispersal is one thing. "Cold Calling" is another.

I redacted the personalization(s) (of course), and thought that I would bring the reprint back here to help show that there is still some class evident in the world today.
Yeah, it is just a form letter, and I'm certain that many more are floating around out there, but it still seemed "kinda' special" to me.
And I'm not even from California!

Thank you for writing in opposition to Senate Bill 400. Taking the time to communicate your views is essential to good citizenship and good government.

I am pleased to inform you that I vetoed this legislation after extensive consideration of arguments from both supporters and opponents of the issue. To read my veto message for the bill, please visit the Official California Legislative Information website at www.leginfo.ca.gov.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. I value your suggestions on how government can better serve the people of our state.

Sincerely,
