I put the carto in my tank on April 25, 2013. No flavor loss, no flooding, no burnt taste, no tight draw, no change at all. Still absolutely STELLAR!

I have been using IKV 801 Fusions exclusively since November of 2012, and I have had some really good cartos (15 days was the longest...until this one). This has got to be the most awesome cartomizer I have ever had. I put at least 5 ml of juice through this thing a day, that's 125 ml through one carto! I've been rocking at 4.7 volts, and the resistance has been a rock solid 2.3 ohms since day one.

Ok so in my recent post, I was frustrated with short lifespan of my new IKV Fusion cartos. I purchased these shortly after switching from clearos so my experience with cartos in general was fairly limited. However, with the first 3 cartos I did experience very quick decline in performance. Frequent flooding/gurgling would set in on day one, followed by loss of taste and tigher draw. The first three cartos lasted only about 1-2 days (and I really tried vaping them as long as possible). At the time, I was vaping fairly light-colored tobacco, caramel tobacco, and rose tobacco 12mg 80/20 mixes I purchased from a well known vendor.

After my third carto died, I was trying to determine why my experience with the highly regarded IKV cartos was so far below "average". While searching the forums, I found this thread where the OP claimed to get a long lifespan from pure VP/PG/Nic mix. So I decided to try that approach and to my surprise, my 4th carto had no drop in performance after 3 days of use. Well, I thought, I am onto something here. So I tried refilling with my own mix of TFS Bubblegum 70/30 10% flavor (great juice btw) and I am now on day 6 with this carto and it's performing as well as day 1!!!

This morning, I pulled apart the first three carts I tried and inspected the insides. The bottom of the cartos were completely packed with dark gunk, especially in and around the coil. What I believe happened is the juice leaves deposits of this stuff as it goes through the cargo, clogging the coil and the center tube. The tube clogging causes you to draw in more liquid from the tank when you drag, which causes more flooding, etc... It's all downhill from there.

In conclusion, I believe my initial problems were due to the juice brand and/or type. Not sure what additives vendor puts in, but they were causing significant buildup. I vape 50/50 11/12mg e-liquid. I started with the first 2 cartos 3 weeks ago and they are still vaping strong. Flavor and vapor production have not falling off, yet. LOL . . . I have been telling myself for the past week, "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I will probably need to change out the cartos." However, tomorrow arrives and these suckers keep on performing. :confused:

I have used the Smok and Boge cartos prior to experiencing these stellar IKVs. I thought the Smoks were great and that I had found carto paradise . . . . Not! Soooo, what the heck is in these things IKVs? :tongue:

I'm fairly new to carto tanks so bear with me. I recently switched from clearos to carto tanks and for my second set of carto's I decided to go with the IKV Fusion LRs. So, first thing I noticed, the five I bought ranged from 1.5 ohm to 1.7 ohm. I was under the impression that they were supposed to be 2.0 ohm (+- .2). Anyway, no biggie, I tried one and LOVED IT! Very good flavor/vapor/TH with these! Almost too much TH actually, which is great since I can't remmeber last time I had good TH. But after 2-3 days, the flavor started fading, I noticed slight gurgle (no leaks) and on day 3 the resistance suddenly dropped from 1.7 ohm to 1.1 ohm. Since my Vamo won't drive anything under 1.2, it's done. Now I'm onto the second one (this is day 3), and again the carto started out really nice. I'm hoping it will last longer tho. Any experiences with this? Or am I doing something wrong?

P.S. I don't have this issue with other 100% VG juices like Rawr's Hawaii Sunrise. I'm going on 2 weeks w/ Hawaii Sunrise and still vaping like new. Just thought I would compare with you guys.

The tanks perform awesomely. I was looking for inexpensive tanks and ran into grimmgreen's youtube review of Ikenvape. The $50 pyrex tanks with machined aluminum caps out there are nice, and have their place, but for a simple, inexpensive carto tank solution, Ikenvape cannot be beat. The tanks are around $10 and the cartomizers are $1.90. Another benefit- at the time of this post, it's all IN STOCK.

Just loaded up my first 510 Mega Fusion Punch! 3.0ohm carto.

The flavor and vapor production from this thing is fantastic!

I'm using a really thin juice, and I was worried about flooding, but I'm actually experiencing the opposite effect.

I've primed it good, and even resorted to the "plug & pull a dry hit" method a twice now. The carto has drawn in around .5ml of juice each time.
