I purchased a Reo Grand with reomizer last night after hours of searching for my upgrade from the evod/spinner.
It will be arriving Wednesday and I'm doing as much research as possible to get myself ready for it.

Couple of questions regarding the reomizer 2.0 since I have never used a RBA before:
1. If I squonk too much, can it be flooded? If so I do end up flooding it, how do I fix it?
2. If the reomizer gets flooded or I squonk too hard, am I going to drinking my juice :toast: ?
3. What's dry burning? Is it something I have to do with the reomizer? The coil only without the wick?
4. I used to be a pack a day smoker, how often would I have to rebuild my reomizer? Replace wick/coil or both?
5. Is it possible to short the reo grand? If so, how do I avoid that?

sorry for the dumb questions guys and I'm sure I should have gotten more experience before jumping onto this mod but I really didn't see any other option such as the Reo. I really wish I had found out about this forum a month ago :) also, any tips for a new user would be appreciated.

I was lucky enough to become the proud daddy of a REO Grand (mech.). Been LOVING it since Friday. Suddenly, this afternoon, it seemed anemic and or not working at all. Here's what happened: had it in my breast pocket and was doing some carpentry laying on my side. It slowly flooded. Seemed to work fine later (at lunch): but on the way home it was acting like the battery was kaput. Battery swap doesn't help. Took it apart, washed it, reassembled. Nope. Took it all the way apart (short of removing the 510 connection), checked/cleaned all contact points, reassembled. Nope. Tried 2 different atties. Nope. Tried the RM2 on another mech. Worked fine.

Short version: is there anything that commonly goes wrong with these that I should be looking at? I really think it's 510 or switch, but I don't see anything.

So I got the Reo last week, loaded up one of my favorite juices and began the Journey to ReoLand...

Unfortunately, I crashed back to earth. I contacted Robert on some of this already but even with his answers I still struggle.
By the end of the week, I was so frustrated with the unit that I am mad at myself for spending 200$ and was looking to sell it. (Although not very hard).....

Maybe some help?
Or maybe the VV version was not the right choice.

VV Reo Grand

- A good number of my LR atty's will not fire. They fire just fine on my other protected units. Robert said it was that I was trying to push more than 15Watts but I was running 1.5 and 1.8's and either I don't understand batteries (which is possible). I think I was well under 15
- I had some SR Carto's that fired, but in my opinion (and that may be wrong) the reason to get a VV is to run LR at higher Volts (or at least that's what I thought). Plus...

- I can't seem to get the bottom feed action to work right. I get how to say it hits that feel "scratchy". I did try a new carto on it and got the same result. As I understand it the process is to take a no power hit while pushing the bottle. I looked at the Grim Green Review and followed to the letter. I still got those scratchy hits.

- A lot of the time, I did not even see the juice feed.

- The wheel voltage regulation is horrible. There is no indication of what you are at. For a 200$ device I think this is insane. Especially one where the bottom feeder does not work properly for me so I see no upside and get better results from all my other gear.

Now I am SURE this is user error. I am positive I am the problem. I know people who SWEAR by there Reo. (non VV)
This forum is full of happy people. I know I am the exception. Other than the VV Wheel issue.

I will say that I am very disappointed in the wheel so disappointed that it may push me over the edge to get rid of this unless I figure out how to get close to orgasmic results.

Please forgive my Hyperbole, I am venting, frustrated.. This is the most expensive unit i own. As a matter of fact its cost me more than the other devices I have (2 Ego Twists (One of the reasons I am frustrated at the wheel its no better than a twist and even less feedback), 1 Vamo which is a damn workhorse for all of the 35$ I paid for it., 1 K100 which again is a workhorse for the 35$ I paid, and a Sliver Bullet which is a tank.. Seriously its a PV that doubles as a self defense device...).

Now I am willing to give it another shot. (although a trade in and refund of the difference from VV to non VV would make me happier if I decide to keep it.)

-I just got an HH.357 I have not even taken it out of the baggie to blow out the primer in it.
I- got new AW 18350's instead of the efest I used. (not sure why an 18650 wont work in this if you stretch the spring but ok whatever). I really dislike stacking batteries. I feel its unsafe. Again just me.. I could be wrong. Again another reason I dislike the VV, I was not aware that it was ONLY 18350 stacked. I do know an 18650 will fire the unit but when I started having problems I went to the recommended specs.
-I cleaned out the bottle and the unit. Its currently sitting on my desk open, no battery, shiny with no liquid in it. I blew out the tube as best as I could. Can not figure out how to remove it and clean it fully.
-I have a Yummy Juice that I know produces awesome taste/hits in whatever I put it in.
-I watched the Grim Green Video again.

Now.. Please impart some of the awesome knowledge onto me... The stress of this and not to mention the wife bitching that I paid 200$ for a device I am unhappy with. Like I said other than the VV issue. I am sure it is my fault.

I had a Reo Mini a couple years ago sold it due to battery life. I have finally settled on my VV setup. But now am wanting to move to a Mechinal mod as a a second setup. I know I want a Reo and a RM2. Question I have is do I get the 2.1 or the 2.0 Mini or just go for the Grand. My daily vape right now is a Provari with a ZAP in the 18490 mod as the 18650 just feels to big for my hands. Will the Grand feel as big and heavy as the Provari? Also how will a 18490 battery handle sub ohm atty setups? I use AW IMR batteries if this helps you answer my questions. I am ready to pull the trigger just debating which Reo to buy.

So I'm now officially spoiled by the RM2 and my Hornets and nothing else works as good for me so I will be putting up my Surface RBA's, A7 mini's, and ERA's in the classys. While I love the ability to blind squonk and that they fit all REO's with the Surface and A7 Mini's the draw is just WAY to tight for me after using the side air holes drilled to 1/16" on all the other RBA's and the A7's are just way to prone to shorting out my mechanical Reos hell I've spent more on collapsed springs then I paid for the A7 mini's! and while I LOVE the ERA's I have the V1's and you must be very careful not to over tighten them and crush the 510 connector gasket which in turns means they don't sit snug like I like them (yes I'm picky) and while I may prefer the look of my Hornet's better the RM2 it's nearly half the price and has TONS of room inside not to mention sold by 1 of my FAVORITE vendors and if he's willing to put his name on it and sell it on his site then that good enough for me !!!:-D

What are the things that increase & decrease flavor?

I'm currently using a SS RDA clone on my Grand & a BR/AL RDA clone (aka Smoktek RDA) on my Mini. Both RBAs are pretty much setup the same, currently using the same single coils & wicks setup, 1.5Ω Kanthal 30 AWG, air holes on them are pretty much the same size & in the same orientation to the coils,

I have my current favorite juices in them, two different flavors, same juice brand. My Grand seems to have much better flavor than the Mini. If I swap the flavors, again my Grand has better flavor & with a slightly warmer vape. The Mini has a shorter drip tip than the Grand, I figured the shorter drip tip wouldgive a warmer vape but that's not the case.

Only other thing I can think of is because of the 18650 vs the 18490, maybe less voltage drop with the 18650 but I haven't checked voltage drop on the 18490 yet. Don't get me wrong, the Mini still vapes great, both produce pretty much the same amount of vapor, just wondering why the Grand has so much better flavor.

So I have been reading about bottom feeders for a couple of months, I really want to try a Reo with a RM2, but I have a few questions. Right now I have a few tube mods, multiple Carto tanks, a Protank, and a few RBA drippers. Some days I like to switch flavours a lot ( which the currant sets ups help with, it's strange today I have used one juice all day, tomorrow I might go thru 6 flavours). What do you guys do for switching flavours? I was thinking maybe have a few bottles at the ready, including one of unflavoured to use in between switching? Do spare bottles come with caps? Is it easy to switch on the go? How empty can the bottle get before refilling. I DIY, Usually 60/40 if that makes any difference.

I have an A7, and I don't like it at all. If you we're to compare a RM2 to another RBA, what would be the most similar?m I really like my Igo L's, so I am really curious if they are similar at all?

i am coming from owning 2 Provari's, and an Evic. I'm guessing that I should go with a VV grand? I usually am between 3.8-4.2 volts, depending on my juice, and the delivery device.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me.
