You'd think they could at least have one form letter for pro and one form letter for con.
But I guess it's always easier to kill two birds with one stone, and it costs a lot less.

These kinds of responses really serve to reveal the extreme erosion of the concept of representation of the people.
In fact, if you look closely, these responses reveal the apathy these politicians actually have when it comes to representing those who've elected them.

Our government needs so much reform, in so many places, it's hard to even focus on where to start.
As if we, as a people, are prepared to start.
    :sigh:

Term limits is my top goal.
All other reforms start to get really complicated.

I don't want any more career politicians pretending to represent me.

How about some Good, Old Fashion Accountability?

People Shouldn't have to Search the Internet to find how there Reps Voted (Or More Likely, Didn't Vote). It should be Televised Every Night on Local News Channels.

Maybe if People saw How Much, or Perhaps, How Little their Elected Representatives are Actually Representing the Will of the People, these Politicians would Not Keep Getting Re-Elected.

    And Re-Elected.

    And Re-Elected.

I'm All for Term Limits. But since the People in office are the Only Ones who can Make this Happen, and Since the LAST Thing they want to Do is Leave Office, maybe showing what they Do in office is the Best Way to keep them from holding office Again?

That is exactly what I meant by "All other reforms start to get really complicated."

Because somewhere in there is the solution.
But the particulars of such an effort would get very complicated, very quickly.

I have some thoughts, but what a long thread that would be.

I think Keeping the General Public Completely Uniformed is a Great Way to Maintain the Political Status Quo.

@DC2 it's not apathy the poly-ticks have for us. It's contempt. To which we should respond with defiance.

I think you mean "Keeping the General Public Completely UNINFORMED," right? I don't think you meant everyone wearing the same uniform. LOL.

    Depends on who you ask.

No doubt some in gov't would have us in uniforms.

Changing the leadership of the senate, provides the vaping community the best chance of stopping these regulations as they are presently proposed.

    Dear Mr. xxxxxxxx :

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to regulating electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). It is good to hear from you, and I can assure you that we are in complete agreement about additional federal regulations.

I generally believe we need to move away from the idea of the Federal government regulating in a broad and expansive way. If e-cigarettes are to be further regulated, such measures should be developed and implemented at the state and local level rather than by unelected bureaucrats in Washington.

Thank you again for contacting me. If I can ever be of service in the future, please don't hesitate to call upon me.

    Sincerely,
