Yeah I was thinking about it being Saturday too... but I think it'll be easier to get folks out on a weekend... (and there is SUCH an appropriate episode of King of the Hill on adult swim right now... gribble's fighting the Arlen, TX smoking ban... LOL)
anyway... Lake Eola park is a pretty central downtown area but I think an outside thing is far more contrary to our cause... it should totally be some place inside to further the acceptance that it is NOT smoking!! (and we get to avoid the weather issue altogether!) the mall at millenia is pretty well traveled by locals and tourists... not sure if there's a smoking everywhere in the mall there though... i can contact them (the mall) and find out. Any mall really, Altamonte's pretty big too...
What do we think? I can call them tomorrow...

The disposable mouth covers go over blank carts and they would be cheaper and fit various models--you could still drip!

so guys what do you think? Mall at Millenia? i left a message with their marketing department, we'll see... maybe the Florida mall... they have a smoking everywhere kiosk in the mall, that's where i got mine! LOL might be a little easier to get permission... still a very heavily traveled mall!

Hey guys... this is the email that i sent the director of marketing for the Florida mall... i just wanted everyone to know how we are all being represented in this search for a venue! LOL still haven't heard from millenia... maybe tomorrow! I'm getting excited guys... not just about getting to meet some new people and hear your stories, but about the positive impact we could potentially have on lives!

I had another idea as well... but I don't know how hard it would be for us to all sit in a bar that allows smoking! I never did care for the smell and now it's even worse! But I'm thinking it might be something we are going to have to do in a place that allows smoking so as not to cause a scene... at the same time, what better place to spread the word? ya know?



My name is Stephanee B --- and I am contacting you in regards to holding a "Vape-In" on Saturday, July 11th, 2009 at the Florida Mall in Orlando. I recently quit smoking after 20 years with the help of a device called a personal vaporizer (also known as an Electronic Cigarette) and I actually bought it at your mall from the Smoking Everywhere kiosk! The purpose is to spread awareness and educate smokers on their options when choosing to quit smoking or using other tobacco products. We'll more than happily work within any reasonable limitations the mall's management sets forth and I would like to stress that this is in no way a protest or political gesture. We are merely a group of people who've been down the road to tobacco addiction and have come out the other side still alive and wanting to share with others that the struggle to quit doesn't have to be as bad as it once was!

I love the idea of the Florida mall..I know where it is! LOL It's also easy to find from the freeway. There is a mall on the freeway in orlando..not sure which one that is.

My idea is to bring carts filled with NO NIC juice..besides not wanting to waste real juice, who needs the hassle of people going.."You are killing us, I have children here!"

Jazzy, your letter was really good. I think another note saying we are using only no nic juice would be in order though if they respond. (the ones we are using ourselves can have nic..who the heck would know?)

What about business cards from suppliers or flyers? We need ECF's addy somewhere to give out. Flyer's could have a list of suppliers?

My first P.V. was from a place called Smoke Free/Be Smoke Free. She only charged us $75.00 per kit. It was a kr808 and really wasn't all that bad. It took a week to break in but by that time we had made arrangements to send it back and get 901's. At first all we got were two puffs and then nothing for a couple of minutes. She gave us a full refund and let us keep the unused juice and 1 pack each of carts..which we had opened. That's the one in Lake Mary.

you can get juice in lake mary? see people! THIS is the kinda info we need! lololololololololol i thought we'd agreed on no nic juice already? or maybe that was all in my head! totally agree! the mall off i4 that you're prolly thinking of is millenia... over by universal? that's why it popped into mind first... heavily traveled by tourists and locals and it's right off the interstate! the smoking place i was talking about is there as well, the blue martini? but the drinks are pricey and there's a LOT of smoking going on cause you can smoke inside! (my fiance plays there and at the tampa one a few times a month so the last couple of times i went i vaped and got some raised eyebrows and a LOT of huzzahs from the band and their guests...
