It seems like every day, starting at around 11:30 or noon, if I try to visit this site, the server basically just hangs up and never responds, or just loads a blank page. And sometimes, like yesterday, it continues for hours (until around 3:?? or so). You've got 80 (81 minus Blu since they're subforum is free) paid suppliers giving you a total of $3200 a month ($40 each). You're probably bringing in around $100 a day from other ad revenue. So you're making probably at least $6,000 a month off this site, so why not reinvest a couple hundred dollars a month and get a better server, or an additional server? It just looks like you're on a server that cannot even come close to handling 20% of the traffic you're getting in peak times. Or are you having issues with Apache, IPMI card, or something else? Either way, it would be beneficial to yourself and the members here if you could upgrade and give the site room to continue growing. As it is now, it could cause a big decline if you're not careful. Thanks |

I could not get on yesterday at around 1pm and at 10pm it was still not working. I looked for the reason this morning and cannot find one. I kept trying and nothing. |

I'd like to see an official explanation for yesterday's outage. The site was offline for nearly 24 hours. Not overloaded, as it usually is, but completely offline. I was expecting to see a thread from the admins that discussed it today. ???

I don't think it's a huge mystery. With absolutely no information to back my assumption, I'm going to guess that the e-smoking community growing at an exponential rate daily, and this being *the* online resource for information has everything to do with it.

| That explains the problems with server load (when you get an error message that says "try again later") but it doesn't explain the fact that the site was completely off line all day yesterday. That wasn't a load issue. It was something else. That's what I'm asking about.

| ECF Veteran | Nah..this had nothing to do with overload. The server wasn't busy...it was out for the count. I'm guessing it was hardware failure with poor hosting and no monitoring.

And it's starting to get slow again, running right on schedule.
