First, is there a 'mark as read' feature for a thread? Can smileys be added to the smilies page? I'd like to see a link at the end of the last page of at least 'general discussion' and 'new people's forum' where you can go back to the main page. Like you can by scrolling back up to the top and clicking on the path. Just back to gen. discussion page or newbie page would do it, so when you've finished reading a thread and it was at the bottom of the page you wouldn't have to scroll up. Just a link to 'main' at the bottom of the window of the last post. Maybe that's possible already but I'm not seeing it. And is there an easier way to check your own posts than going to user cp then to profile then to statistics then to view posts?? (other than find your last post and clicking on the avatar...)

REQUEST: Make CTRL + function resize text only, without making the page wider. I have moderately bad eyesight. I used to have my 2048 x 1536 monitor set to 800 x 600 to make most text readable on the web. For the past 2 years most sites have retooled their layout to accommodate the CTRL + / CTRL - / CTRL 0, funtions on Firefox and Explorer. This board does not. It's permanently set up for 768 wide. If you are lower than that it creates a horizontal scroll-bar, and if you are higher than that there are blank sides (wasted space). CTRL +, does not change the font size it just makes the entire page larger. I know it's possible because THIS forum (vBulletin Community Forum - Powered by vBulletin) does it exactly the way I'm talking about. I looked for about an hour for an answer and then gave up. I don't know if it's a single server varialble or requires a whole new stylesheet, but I do know it's possible. -Thanks |

I see there's a 'mark forum as read' on the quick links dropdown as well. Good to know.

I am not sure if this is possible to do on the forum. It would be nice to have an icon, like the report icon, that a poster in either the classified or suppliers section could use to request the thread be locked. This would alert the mod for that forum of the posters request and ease their housekeeping job. It would give the classified poster an easy way to ask for a lock and assist suppliers in keeping an old thread from moving to the top, keeping the limited space for our colleges to get their fair share of space. An example being supplier A runs a one day sale, and three months later a customer bumps the thread with a comment. Obviously that sale is no longer available and the customer may not have noticed the date ect..

Hi Kimerpuff, All forums have the means to "report" a thread..... If you look within the post itself you will see an exclaimation mark in a red triangle. By clicking on this the post is reported to the mods/admin for their attention. VapeOn, Greg |

Hey Greg, Im sorry if I wasnt clear... I mean a button, like the report one, perhaps placed near the report one but an additional button to be sure. with the sole purpose for the owner or starter of a thread to ask a mod to lock it. I hope that makes better sense? have a lovely day! oh.. Im so blonde! so is that how people get their threads closed, report them?

We have the Model Specific forum, which is organized great! Can you please add a Vendor Specific Review Section and E-liquid Brands Section with one forum dedicated to each vendor/e-liquid. I think it would make the site a lot more navigatable for newbies. The video and liquid reviews are nice, but they aren't organized in any way. The other day I was looking for more flavors from other vendors and a forum with a list of the available brands and threads dedicated to each brand would have been extremely helpful. As far as the vendor forum, the vendor's ability to delete any negative feedback in their dedicated area is a bit disconcerting. So, those forums are only good for basic communication between the vendor and customers, like announcements & such, but not for people researching what to buy and where & honest opinions. There needs to be an organized, fair and open area for positive AND negative opinions - key word being "organized" - about vendors and e-liquid brands, the way there is for device models. Each section would have one forum started for each brand/vendor like shown below and each flavor can be discussed on the appropriate thread - which can be started by members, so you don't have to create each thread - any any other topics relating to the flavors, mixing, throat hit for some flavors, etc. The vendor section would obviously be easier to organize. Basically the same way you have it set up for the specific models only organized by e-liquid brand or vendor. Threads can be started in each to discuss different flavors/vendor experience. E-Liquid Brands Reviews Nhale/Xhale from Nhaler.com Forum NuPort Thread Vanilla Coke Thread Peach Blast Thread Almond Joy Thread High Voltage from Nhaler.com Forum Vanilla Blueberry Peanut Butter Cup Lung Juice from Nhaler.com Forum Sleepytime Orange Lung Vanilla Rose Liberty Liquid from libertyecig.com Forum MyBoro Cubana Mint Tasty Liquid from libertyecig.com Forum MyBoro Menthol Pep-c-cola Johnson Creek Smoke Juice from johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com Kick-E-Liquid from electroniccigarettesales.com Forum Banana Toasted Toffee Etc. Vendor Reviews Nhaler.com Forum Threads started by members (complaints, praises) Libertyecig.com Forum Threads started by members (complaints & praises) Johnson Creek Forum Threads started by members (complaints & praises) Etc. It would also be nice to know which members are associated with which companies - which members are resellers & distributors. They should be required to disclose on their profile if they are a seller and provide a link to their site.

Sorry Kimerpuff, the "understanding" part was my error for not reading your post correctly..... No worry's though, using the "report button" that is there now was created for the use from members to bring the treads attention to the moderators for whatever reasons. A report thread is created immediately in a private forum for us moderators (whoever happen to be onboard at the time), to see, discuss (if necessary), and make a decision on the report's content and/or request. I appologize if it wasn't made out to look that way to the membership. I hope this addresses your inquiry/suggestion. VapeOn, Greg | |
