Come on guys this sounds like a two kids in a sweet shop. And after all we are all supposed to be adults here aren't we.
The one kid saying to the other kid I've got more sweets than you so I'm better than you.
Personally I think the most informative person regarding valuable information on this site is Leaford for he makes the time and effort to make produce his videos and he spends his hard earned cash on this. He is also is passionate about what he does and I think there should be some sort of donation box for people like this. To help with their research. therefore both parties would gain from. And save us all a load of wasted money.

I have had first hand experience on how much this research is costing. In the last month I have personally spend over £1000. What's that in US now .$2000. Plus . I must admit I have been enjoying this and by doing this has certainly kept my mind off smoking real cigarettes. So I have tried to put my money where my mouth is.
And if I can share my experiences to help other people in any way I will. But I don't expect to get brownie points for doing this.

I think we should run this thread for about 2 weeks, allowing people to post different layouts/rankings, then we start a poll and vote on which ones you guys like best. Lets see your submissions/examples!!!

Here's my submission:
Member Rankings:
Administrator
Esmoking Moderator
Godlike Esmoker (5000+ posts)
Esmoking Legend (3000 – 4999 posts)
Esmoking Expert (1500 – 2999 posts)
Esmoking Professor (500 – 1499 posts)
Esmoking Regular (100 – 499 posts)
Newbie Esmoker (40 - 99 posts)
Student Esmoker (15 – 39 posts)
Lurking Esmoker ( 0 – 14 posts)

Donating Members (Able to make their own rank)
Suppliers (ECF Vendor/Supplier)

I do not see the need for this.
Everyone can see how many posts a poster has right under their name.
For me it's confusing to see, say : esmoking regular or proffessor or expert, and so on.

It's just not cool.
What's new poster to think?
I've never seen that on any other boards.

Now, you can add, for example above TB's avatar: "Guru".

Or other nicknames that members can vote on, or other member refer to an other posters with a nick.

sanneke ... these rankings/names would replace the current "full member" , "super member" rankings and just make things a little more fun. You would still see the amount of posts someone has.

for instance ... when you see someone at Esmoking Professor they currently have between 500 and 1499 posts. As soon as they reach 1500 posts, their rank changes to Esmoking Expert. Got it?

I got it!

I got it the first time, but as I explained in my previous post, it's only confusing, and there's no need for it.

I don't even want to be an Esmoking professor.

What's the use of it?

I can see that after a member makes 1000 posts he or she is a "senior" member.

But to list up to 8 different levels of member has no use.
That's only my opinion, that's all.

I think it is just a fun little thing. I'm not sure how it is confusing...

I've seen plenty of other boards that have ranking structures like that.. Car forums often do it that way. I love the idea.
