Default My Train Hit Someone This Morning

Got on my commuter train from the 'burbs to Chicago this morning and five minutes into the ride we coast to a stop. The conductor gets on the intercom a few minutes later to let us know we just hit someone, emergency crews were responding and we should settle in for a long wait. It turns out a guy in his 30's ignored the blaring horn and stepped into the path of the train, he died.

The total delay was about three hours, I spent the time playing sudoku and vaping.

Apparently it was too morbid for the evening news or the newspapers as well. I didn't find mention of it anywhere.

I know Chicago is a big city and people die here everyday... it just seems a bit odd that someone can step in front of a train and die and noone gives it a second thought.

Maybe this was the wrong place but I felt like I had to acknowledge what happened in some small way.
