Default Losing plenty of money vaping

Hello people, I was looking at some post for the last 2 days because I have no life. The one thing that struck me as odd was the fact (based on most people's signature) that everyone is saving money since they started vaping. The Frankster must and will play the devil's advocate once again to seek out the truth.

I have been vaping for two months and I have lost at least 700 dollars thus far relative to smoking. I cannot see how it is possible to be saving money if you are new at vaping. Maybe you are getting the gear and juice without charge. It makes totally no sense. Let me give you an idea. It cost me 50 dollars a month to smoke. I smoked 2 packs a day and I rolled my own analogs with a machine. Before uncle Sammy put an end to buying cigs on line, I was paying 3 dollars a pack which equated to 120 dollars a month.

As far as vaping is concerned let me give you a list for the last 2 months:

    1. The sb and the k-go cost me approx 200 dollars with chargers and batteries
    2. The cartos and attys that I purchased cost me at least 100-150 dollars
    3. The juices have cost me at least at a minimum 300 to 400 dollars
    4. The shipping costs have cost at least 100 dollars.

Now, someone please explain how in the world you can be vaping for a month or two and be saving all this money. Come people, let's get real.

One other thing...why do I have to wait a month to purchase a juice that I like...if you have a best seller...make more or buy more...poor business management for sure. How can you stay in business when you do not have your best seller in stock. Very sad?

The Frankster speaks nothing but the truth and you can take that to the bank. Another thing, if you are a guy, please put a beautiful women in your signature, must I look at your mod.

Well I save because I smoked premium cigs and never rolled my own,I buy liquid and cartos when they are on sale from vendors that have cheaper shipping costs or free shipping over $30 and it works out cheaper for me plus I use a mod so I only need batts every 3-6 months.Once your set up,it can be much cheaper if you shop around and dont buy everything you see.
Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

Did You order all that crap in 2 months? ...?! I've been vaping for nearly a year and haven't come close to spending that much on Cartos especially. Somebody's @$$ raping you it seems... I average no more than $10 a month, let me also point out that you're including "Initial " Investment costs in buying that "k-go" I spent roughly $50 on all my "equipment" when I started, not $200, and it lasted me for a good while. so what I want to ask respectively, is, How does some one spend

I have to agree, I spent about $3000+ in over a year vapeing but in the long run think of the cancer treatments your not gonna have to pay. Granted I went overboard and bought everything I saw but it's also become a hobby, cheaper then working on my El Camino lol.

You cannot be serious...I have purchased approx about 50-75 cartos...I use five at a time to rotate because the juice I vape sucks. How much does your juice cost...you get it for free. I have tossed at least 10 30 ml juices in the trash...I purchase the gear and juice in the same places everyone else does...your statement is totally illogical

In the beginning I have to admit that I went through money pretty fast as well, although not quite as quickly as you have been. I started out with an overpriced-way under-powered 2-piecer that my mother gifted me with (before I discovered ECF and learned better), which I still bless since it got me started on the right road. THEN came the learning...testing...needing a new model, new juice, OOOH SHINEY!! moments, etc. It's a good thing I didn't win the lottery at that point or we'd have needed an extra room just for vaping stuffies. That did settle down after about 6 months, though when I decided that 510's and I got along just wonderful (mega's, eGO, mod) and that cartos were my best friends. Then it was just keeping up with replacables and trying to keep myself from trying every single juice flavor I could get my hands on.

It was 2 years since I set the analogs down this past Thanksgiving and I can honestly say that, other than a few splurges here and there like the one I'm about to do for Christmas, I've been spending on average per month vaping what I used to spend per week on analogs - not even taking into account what I had to spend EXTRA while smoking (doctor's visits, new clothes from burning a hole in my jeans/shirt/skirt/etc. , air freshener, carpet cleaning, and on and on and on). I vape, very literally, from the moment I wake up until I can't keep my eyes open any more.

On the siggies with the banners....the money saved dealie is pretty much just there from a pre-set formula plugged in when it's made, not a real count as far as I've ever been able to figure. I think most folks use them mostly for the day count more so than the 'hey, I saved a bus-load' part.

And I'm not a guy...so I figure I can skip the beautiful woman siggie part? LOL I don't have any pics of my PVs and a pic of me certainly wouldn't qualify so I think I'll just plead the 'but I'm a girl so I don't have to' angle.

I figure you need a box of 5 cartos and 4 30ml of juice for a month.Thats about $50.Even cheaper if you mix your own.Thats less than 1 carton of smokes.

I totally do not get your point...I started off just like everyone else and I do not purchase everything I see. I purchased the juice based on great reviews. I did not buy them aimlessly

I think the first couple of months can be expensive, you have the cost of mods and all the accessories that you buy till you figure out a system that works for you. For instance I started out with an ego and cartridge system a friend gave me. I immediately went to cartomizers. I tried several brands trying to figure what I liked, including trying lr stuff. This experimentation was expensive as I was buying allot trying to figure what works for me. I ended up buying some Ego T batteries so they would last longer and started playing with dripping which means atomizers. Ended up buying allot of these to figure what worked and what I liked. Also, bought related accessories such as drip tips, and drip shields. A month or two later I was buying a Silver Bullet and batteries and trying some additional atomizers.

In this time Juice was another money sucker. Trying to find stuff I liked and eager to try as much as possible. Also, without a stock of juice, things get boring and you have to keep buying to stay supplied.

I am now on my 3rd month going into my 4th, I now no longer have the same expenses I did for the first two months.. I have a large cache of juices, atomizers and cartomizers. I have spent a little experimenting with tanks, but not exorbant. I now have 4 vendors I frequent for juices as i know what I like and dont like. I still buy an occasional flavor to sample, but I buy big bottles of the stuff I know I like. Also, now that I have a cache of juice, I can wait for sales and what not. I am now at a point where I can easily downgrade my spending to 50-100 bucks a month, usually on the 50 dollar end. So I would say it gets cheaper once you coast into maintenance mode.

The reason for the wait on juices is that almost all of the small juice companies make the juices to order, instead of ruining the freshness of leaving the stuff sitting on a shelf. Its also a big selling point, that the juices are fresh and premade.

This is my humble opinion and experience of course.
